Not at all. I live in America and I buy games/consoles in America.

Xbox flopped miserably in Japan, but that didn't stop me from buying one and clearly is the best console I've ever own since the NES, SNES and Genesis combined. And still playing Xbox to this day.

Xbox 360 (120hd) is next for me.

Sales numbers ALWAYS affect game development.  If a developer could potentially get 300-400k more sales on another system they are highly likely to put it on that system.

Too bad it was cut short becuase Japs didn't want to buy a non Japanese Console.

We'll see when Trusty Bell and Lost Odyssey comes out,

and see how prejudice the Japs are.

Yes Americans = apples, come in a variety of colors, thin edible skin sort of crunchy but pretty sweet.  Also you can't eat their core.

japanese= oranges, orange, bitter unedable shell, but really juice and sweet on the inside. watch out for seeds.

Sakaguchi explained why the 360 is failing in Japan. Its not the fact that its American its MS and their damn advertising. They're an american company so they don't know how to market their console to Japanese gamers. They need to figure it out though so the console can be more successful there. Sakaguchi even said the reason Gears didn't sell so well there is because barely anyone knew about it.

As far as I know,

the 360 has Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Trusty Bell coming out this year.

But believe me these games have no chance what so ever in Japan,

Actually Japs are the ones ignorant.

I on the other hand don't cut myself short playing only certain types of games.

I didn't buy the PS3 not becuase It's Japanese nor did I by the 360 becuase it's american.

360 has better games thats why I bought it.

Japan's video game industry is roughly 1/2 the size of North America's--smaller, for sure, but significant nevertheless.
