I may need to ready the flame shield for this, but I rarely go back and replay old stuff. I usually just sell once I'm done with them. But it kinda worked out for me now because most of those games are available digitally at a cheap price. The only old stuff I have are my original Playstation and my original copies of MGS 1-4. You, SW?

I keep em but never play them. My PS2 had been buried under a bunch of 360 games for years. Dont even know if it works. Kind of want to bust out my Xbox to play Steel Battalion though.

I keep them but once I get a new console the old ones just gather dust until they are finally boxed up and stacked away.

Still have a few 360 games and heaps of PS3 games that I haven't touched and I'm not sure I ever will.

Still have some PS2 games I have never got around to playing.

@SolidGame_basic: I still have my Dreamcast, PS2, PS3, 360 and actually want to buy another PS1 and get an original Xbox. I have been playing my Dreamcast a little but will store it away and perhaps play it some years later. It's cool to have them around and be reminded of the changing times.

I still have pretty much every console I've ever owned. The only ones I go back and play anymore are my NES, SNES, and Coleco Vision. Also the X360 and PS3 if people consider them old.

Not really. i'm more of a gamer than a collector. I like a nice clean setup so I really don't need anymore than 3 systems at one time. I've been gaming since the Colecovision ( and have owned every major system since) so keeping every system I had would be ridiculous for me.

I have a NES, SNES, N64, Virtual Boy, GameCube, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Panasonic 3DO, Neo Geo AES and Neo Geo CD, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS1, PS2 and PS3 all hooked up and ready to play. I admit I had to re buy a couple but I managed to hang on to a good amount over the years.

Got rid of my Saturn; regretted it; got another Saturn. I play it when I can. So with that on board, I wouldn't want to get rid of any of my other consoles

I keep most. I've given some older consoles away, but only if I had a duplicate or had a newer system that was backwards compatible. I give away older titles I won't play again as well, but I keep anything I might want to play or recommend to a friend.

I go back and play my DS and PSP (which is basically a SNES, NES, GBA, and NEO along with being a PSP) all the time. My wii is only used for gamecube games/brawl/mario kart wii though.

I still have the PS2 which is in good working order. We still have an original GBA and GBA SP, original NDS, PSP1000. We used to have a Game Cube until a darn kid spilled Pepsi on the controller which shorted out the primary controller port, making the console useless.

Of course, on computers, I have Amiga games dating back from the 80's (running via Amiga Forever) and PC games dating back from the early 90's.

on pc i've got a tonne of old games, and sometimes i buy more old games. like theme hospital, or far cry 2.

in terms of consoles, well, i still have 2 xbox 360s (his 'n hers). i doubt i'll play anything on it ever again, except maybe Gears Judgement (but a few people reckon its just not worth playing)

i sold my xb original and ps2 yonks ago, and other consoles before that etc.

no regrets.

I always sold my old consoles at the end of each gen. I've been a minimalist.

I can always play those older games on my computer via you-know-what, but I certainly miss my old consoles. If I had kept them, they would've been cool mementos of my childhood. When I get straightened out financially, I'm definitely going to rebuild my old collection.

between 2013 and 2014 I have beaten persona 3 (ps2), contra iii (snes), fear effect (ps1), last of us (ps3), sailor moon rpg (snes), last blade 2 (dreamcast), Shining Force III (Saturn) and planing on playing Albert Odyssey (Saturn) soon...

I really don't understand how some people can only play current gen games and not get burn out of playing the same crap over and over again. Especially when it comes to TPS, FPS games or online games in general with the usual deathmatch, team deathmatch, etc. Not to mention that 85% of the recent JRPG's fucking suck.

I don't keep the consoles if there's a viable emulator though. I only keep the games (only the ones I really like) and play them on PC (hooked to my tv) with a dualshock 3 and yeah, the bluetooth works with scarlet.crush's drivers, like if it were a console.

Pst gamers play games on the older consoles as well. Anyway I keep all of mine always. Have all Nintendo, Sega, Sony, and MS consoles save this gen. And lots of handhelds as well. Will be purchasing the Wii U at some point and the PS4 for sure. X1 depends on what MS does with it.

I always keep my games. When I was younger I used to sell or trade them for new ones, and I regret doing that. I've become somewhat of a collector nowadays, not a serious one, but I'm on the hunt for the classics and the games that hold sentimental value for me.

Well, I have owned every 7th-gen console.

I got a Wii in April of 2009.

I then got an Xbox 360 in December of 2010. I sold my Wii in mid-2011.

I got a PlayStation 3 about a month ago. I hooked it up in my bedroom, and then hooked the 360 up in the living room.

I aim to make the PS3 my primary console for awhile. At least a year and a half. I have a whole list of games that I want to collect for it.

I have no plans whatsoever to sell my 360, even though it is no in it's prime anymore. Hell, there are still a couple exclusives that I want to buy for it.

What do I see happening after all is said and done with the 7th-gen consoles? I plan to pursue a PS4.

I'm in the process of taking all my consoles out of storage and putting them on display in a new shelving unit. I brought the PS2 out a few days ago and played some MGS2: Substance.

Chances are I might be out of work for the month of June (long, long story but it's all good) so I'm going to have a lot of time to catch up on shit.

I keep them stored away and rarely play them. The only time I really break them out is during holidays or long summer days.

I always keep them, all of them, regardless. I once regretted selling my DC, eventually got 2 of them, one original and one sports edition. Never once have I been tempted to sell any consoles or games since then.

Aside from 360 and PS3, my PS2 and Genesis are currently being played.

I still have almost every game I've ever owned, between steam, a box of old physical disc games, and a harddrive of other oldies. And all but a couple of them can be made to work on my laptop with little to no effort. As for consoles, I've got a PS2 and N64 stashed away somewhere around here, with a handful of games each. If I dig them up, that pretty much covers all I'm interested in. I plan to buy a PS3 eventually, probably well into this gen, when they're dirt cheap (like, less than $100, not used), and catch up on the few games I was interested in last gen that weren't on PC.

If you're a serious gamer and sell/trade your stuff, you're a fool. If you're a casual gamer who trade/sells, it's fine. If you're in the former category, you probably wont be able to find half of those games later on to play them again, and don't expect them to be there for you to buy in digital format either because servers get shut down, services get shut down or change hands and policies.

I just told you that I've pretty much played and owned all consoles besides Nintendo's in my time, can't you read lol? Xbox, PS2, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and a Gaming PC. I have never played a mobile game and have never owned a handheld system.

If that doesn't make me hardcore (which is stupid arguing over anyway, I just didn't like how that guy said we were fools for trading in our stuff) then I don't know what fucking does.

Edit: I play pretty much every genre, like FPS, RPG, RTS etc.

I kept most of my stuff, but it was mostly pointless to do so.

I discovered many of them no longer worked. NES was non functioning after all those years. So the carts didn't really do me any good. Ended up selling them a few years back. Also sold my fully functional SNES, and many games. My PS1 no longer worked. So I sold the few games that had high value (on ebay), and gave the rest to goodwill. This was a great move, because most of those ended up "classic" on the PSN store anyway which crushed their value. But even moreso, because they just collect dust.

As of today I still have my PS2 and some of it's games. But I discovered none of my PS2 controllers worked anymore, so I even bought a new one "just in case". But that was probably a waste. I've sold a few PS3/360 games as I beat them, but I still have like 100+ current gen games. I'm pretty sure I'm going to reduce that like crazy when I get a PS4. Most of these games will be available digitally (already are, or are multiplats on steam). If they aren't available? Who cares...
