It's the same feature. It's been utilized before. What it changes is largely based on the game and storyline, rather than the feature.

Dishonoured is something new and it feels fresh, I welcome that in a gaming age of endless sequels. Not saying ME3 is terrible, just that it's not worthy of kicking Dishonoured out of round 2, IMO

Dishonored is not new or fresh, it's basically a Bioshock clone with added stealth. Personally I thought both Dishonored and ME3 were awesome but I enjoyed ME3 a lot more than I did with Dishonored, in fact Dishonored was more of a let down than ME3 in a way.

I like ME3 despite the terrible ED but I voted for Dishonored.

I love both equally. So I flipped a coin. Dishonored got the vote from me. I love that they're so close. I'd hate to see either one go down in a blowout.

For me it was ME3, yeah the ending was a bit "wtf mate!" the game itself was incredible. A bit dummed down from the orignial, yes! Smooth gameplay though with an epic war of the worlds feel. I loved the trilogy as a whole though.

Though I'll give you credit, the weight system did influence my gun choices. But it's not a full blown improvment, it's more of a special feature. The combat is better , but overall easier.
