Did Sony just destroyed anything MS had to offer with summerfest with FF16 Demo? now LIVE :)

FF is something I would be happy to see gone for a long time but it's always cool to have this kind of promotional demo. I was disappointed MS didn't had nothing like that. Did it destroy anything? Maybe if you're 10 years old.

FF16 looks so boring compared to the old games with fun and varied cast of characters. Sure, Square Enix will miss the mark with cringe characters but at least they were memorable.

FF Rebirth has already overshadowed this game.

Nope. Final Fantasy XVI looks great, have it preordered after all, but Microsoft will be just fine. 😅

Is it just me or Square is trying sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard to have everyone paying attention to this game? They've shown so many LONG trailers that it feels like i've already played one third of the game, and now they're even pushing a demo for even more content before launch.

Sony Fannies are so desperate after Xbox show destroyed Sony's showcase and Starfield looking like the game of the generation. Now a demo 😂😂

I would argue that FFXVI is garbage. It's a DMC clone that hits 30 FPS in quality mode and can barely break 50 in performance mode.

So, for all of those complaining about Starfield and jumping on this wagon? You look dumb.

On a personal note: I don't like the way they recorded character audio for this game. It sounds like they did it in a basement or attic. I also don't like FF war stories. They never end up having a big payoff which was proven by FFXII which I platinumed for no reason at all.

Everyone is so lazy in here. All these posts and nobody bothered posting their screenshots n shit. Am i forced to download a demo to a game i have completely lost interest in just to see how good or bad it looks? Hard to tell on twitch cuz it looks blurry, but from my understanding its far from Demon's Remake quality like DF said a few months back.

Playing the demo right now on performance mode and the game looks and plays great. Very much enjoying it. Preorder retained.

Game is looking solid so far, and the opening is pretty damn epic. I think performance mode is pretty much necessary at this point.

You’re correct. FF demos are not out of the norm. But SE not waiting until FF16 was actually released to share details about FF Rebirth seems odd to me.

But then again, given Rebirth will probably get delayed at least once, means it will be way out of the release window to eat into the sales of FF16.

Finished the demo and very much enjoyed it. They sure went dark in this game. Gameplay feels great and is quite fun. Eikon battles are suitably epic. Ten more days to carry on from where the demo ended, can’t wait.

Starfied demo isn't even out yet, plus even if the game offers performance mode, it stuck at 30fps :(

Can't wait to play demo and the whole game, ffxiv's story just nails the story everytime and the music. I really hope square Enix can keep on with their single player games for as long as possible.

@daredevils2k: Nobody even brought up Starfield... The performance mode of FF16 can be janky, so hopefully it's ironed out in the full release.

It's fine, sure. But it is janky when dropping nearly 30fps at times in performance mode.

Just completed it. Day 1 for sure! That ending was insane. What's up with that graphics mode? Lol the motion blur is so bad I was feeling motion sick. Performance is better but the blur is still really noticeable. This is definitely a ps4 game graphically. Hopefully there's some patches in the works,if not then square really dropped the ball on that. The gameplay is great,I can see some people getting really creative with combos. The story so far really pulled me. Felt really bad when that chocobo got sucker punched by that rock.

I guess this is why I own a PS5 instead of an Xbox. Very little interest in starfield but a ton of interest in FFXVI. Just hope it's similar to FFXIV but in single player mode. Downloading the demo now.

You’ll say this, but when the hype tread is created, you lems won’t give it anything higher that a AA (8.0) on the hype o meter.

@xhawk27: Starfield is looking like the flop of the generation. Cyberpunk 2077 won the award last generation.

The game of the generation was already decided in 2022. It's Elden Ring. the debate ended over a year ago.

First 16 minute video 16 seconds of "gameplay" if you can even call it that. Yuck.

Played it for 30-40 minutes and story wise it seems great. So fare the combat system also seems excellent but only in the tutorial area atm.. that being said, graphic mode seems completely broken imo, I mean you can’t even pan the camera without getting severe stutters, that being said graphic still looks great in the normal mode so might not be an issue!

Regardless I am pretty confident in saying that 2023 just got another serious goty candidate!
