WTF is this? I thought this game was supposed to be walking all over Forza Horizon 3. This looks like a 4K PS3 game.

I was expecting to be wowed but man this looks disappointing. This game only good on replays and Sony fanboys would have you believe replay looks the same as in game but it's complete bollocks.

Is this a Vita port? Could explain why it looks so dated.

Looked pretty good to me. I don't have an eye for racing games though. Last one I really played was need for speed underground lol

Honestly nowadays, I just prefer GTA 5 for racing+everything else in the game, It's hard to justify paying $60 just for racing game and GT7 is no different. GT7 4K my ass.

This is pretty sad.

Aside from what KOD stated, Gran Turismo Sport is being made from scratch, every aspect of the game will be 100% new. They're working on the VR mode for GTS too, it takes time. In addition to that, I could see how releasing GT closer towards the middle of the PS4's life-cycle makes more sense from Sony's perspective since Gran Turismo usually sells so well anyway. What you see now is still in the early development, I wouldn't worry if those graphics will be the same, it's still too early to start freaking out.

Just noticed your comment above, and the game is due out sometime this year so it is not in early development, not only that but it was playable at last years E3, so again not in early development.

GTA 5 is a boring slog, there is a lot to do but that stuff is super boring and low leveled.

Finished games often look very different from Betas. Especially if all you're really pointing to is what one could consider graphical detailing. This is one of the last things developers do because everything else is so much more important. And btw, the length of beta versions is never a set time and there is never a set amount of work done before moving on. Stating that it could be one of the final stages, does not say anything.

Looks okay, nothing remarkable but need to see it in person to judge better.

You gotta compromise in places to get 4K.

Graphics look ok to me. FH3 is kind of all over the place in visual quality, and this is playing it on PC. I'm not sure I'd tear this down on its visuals, and DF seems happy enough with them (nothing to write home about)

But FH3 is mad blast to play. I can't put it down. This looks generic, and WTF is with some of those weird almost-teleporting cars?

Looks decent and a tad better then its current counterparts in the console 60 fps sim games. The car models are brilliant. Replays are cranked up of course and run at 30fps. There is no way ps4 is going to run that quality at 60fps, I think you already know that TC. The attention to detail seen on replays is f***ing brilliant. I hope that is how the FIA racing will be broadcast on. They gotta iron out the frame rate and online lag. We can forget about the shadows at this point lol. The willow spring track is a highlight.

@kod: Bullshit. Finished games hardly look different from betas. Especially on consoles where early access games aren't nearly as prevalent as on PC.

It should get all the press it can right now because when the new Forzas release it doing to be ugly.

Games, more often than not, use unfinished models up until the very end. And like it or not the implementation of new models or new graphical tweaks is often one of the very last steps. Go talk to any developer, its not that hard to understand.... im not quite sure why you're having these difficulties. If you're going to be so adamant about these things you can at least speak to developers on this subject.

@kod: How about you go ahead and prove it? Look at the Prey beta. Looked almost the same. Look at the Gears of War 4 beta, again hardly any difference. Look at The Division beta. Same thing. The list goes on and on especially on consoles where Beta are very closed to finished products because devs most often put them out to test online functionalities and bugs. Instead of rambling provide examples of finished games on consoles that look significantly better than at their public beta stage. I'll be waititing.

It's still going to get phenomenal scores and sales, and all those online reviewers and gaming news outlets who spend all their time on NeoGAF will shower it with praise; another win for Sony.

No one is saying that there is some absolute equation that every developer follows. Some developers wait til the last minute, some don't, and youve clearly missed the point about beta itself having stages. Games can be in beta development years, do you really think that its all done then and they are simply doing what? Jerking off to it?

Yes, a game a month from release will most likely have everything finished and yet, it will still be in beta. A game six months, seven months, a year, until release, wont have all of these things finished and polished and guess what? its still in beta...... Are you serious? Is this really that challenging for you? I dont even know what to say after this except... wow.

GT6 didn't get phenomal sales.

People are still banging on about GT? It lost it's crown to Forza over a decade ago and has never caught up. Not to mention 3rd party stuff like Project Cars.

I like Gran Turismo Sports Nurburgring look then Project Cars ps4 Nurburgring look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gx4fa8jv8LQ. Project cars has this blurry materials look to it. FH3 is not a 60 fps sim on consoles, it is a beautiful beast. I think DF are correctly comparing it to its counter parts. Materials have a nice precise crisp look to them. I think you got carried away believing the replays. When you take console sims Forza 6, Project Cars, Asserto Corsa on track you will see why GTS looks quite nice especially the lighting.

Bringing FH 3 into it is as unfair as bringing Drive Club into it against FM 5 or 6. FH 3 and Drive Club run at half the frame rate.

This GT game does look bland though. Is this multiplayer? Check out 2:47 seconds onwards of the first video, cars seem to jump to the side. That's a multiplayer thing right? Why isn't the frame rate a solid 60fps?

Gran Turismo has not had phenomenal scores in a long time. I doubt that will change here, there other gripes to gt sports. Graphics are far from being an issue. It being a legendary series, the on track driving and FIA sanction racing is what gets the sales going at this point. Wheel customisation support is always top in class for people to add to there collections of sim games.

Not surprising... GT lost its mantle years ago to Forza. Sony should just put it to rest for a while.

Although I'm sure most review sites will score it great anyway because it's a PS game.

Project cars 2 looks better and forza 7 on Scorpio/Pc will sh!# on GT Sport in every way.

Appeal, is subjective, however if you're talking about sales/fanbase, it'll be wise to wait until GT comes out fir tge PS4 because going by history, both Forza and FH sales and fanbase have been greatly eclipsed by that of GT's.

Great graphics or bad graphics racing simulators are straight boring.

Latency? Sony no dedicated server support? The game don't look awful, it looks ok the more i watch the video. The problem is Forza has surpassed this ages ago and Forza 7 will look superior. If you a GT fan you likely buy this anyway.

to be fair there's no set release date for GT Sport. Game was supposed to come out last year and it got pushed back to early 2017 and now just "2017". They could announce a release date for 2018 at E3. They probably won't but you never know.
