[QUOTE="Kikouken"]MGS2. I was pissed off. datretI just nodded my head in agreement when the ending finished. Ummm. They were trying to control the world by contoling the flow of information. "Self" is the ultimate change in humans, but they were saying we are to ignorant to control "self".

Most video games have terrible, "well, let's make a hazy and unfinished ending incase sales are strong enough to justify a franchise sequel" ending that completely skewers the plot and deliberately leaves fans hanging on a edge for strictly monetary purposes.
I can only think of a few good endings:
KOTOR II, if only because I thought the game's story was actually better than that of the first KOTOR up until the last few hours... When it became painfully clear just how rushed the title was.
There are games with worse endings (Halo 2, MGS2), but KOTOR II was most disappointing.
KOTOR II had no ending, unless streaming stars, a flood of capital ships and no dialouge count, it is easily the worst.KOTOR II, if only because I thought the game's story was actually better than that of the first KOTOR up until the last few hours... When it became painfully clear just how rushed the title was.

I'm defining "ending" a bit more loosely. I take it to include the last portion of the game, not just what plays after you finish all the gameplay.
Yeah, I was disappointed, they left it way too open. I understand that the scope of the game was huge as in, a certain ending can make it hard to make a sequel, but I kind of forgave them for it. Since it would pave the way for a sequel.KOTOR II, if only because I thought the game's story was actually better than that of the first KOTOR up until the last few hours... Besides, I thought KOTOR2's story was better than the first. It seems alot more complex, but it was rushed. I hope they make the third one soon, and it should be made by Bioware.
