He is implying that the Sony fans should abandon the idea that the 360 is going to be destroyed by the PS3. For years Sony fans have been saying "X" will be the end of the 360 yet it still lives. It is far too late for the PS3 to have any real effect on the 360.

The problem is that The RSX (gimped Geforce 7) is still doing 95% of the graphics workload. 04dcarraher


The lighting pass for a standard deferred renderer (what they're using) with the amount of lights they're pushing is going to at least 25% of a GPU's frame time, and possibly more on RSX.


Because each SPE has a certain jobs they have to do and chances are that only one or two SPE's will be free to "help" the RSX.04dcarraher


They say right in their presentation they do their lighting on 5 or 6 SPU's.

This is all a bunch of garbage as Crytek said similar things about the console versions of Crysis 2. I'll believe it when I see it.
