Current build looks less detailed. It's not a major downgrade but it is one nonetheless.

HZD and Infamous SS all looked as good if not better at release. GoW honestly hasnt changed. UC4 looked better then the first gameplay reveal. So in all honesty no its not something PS owners would be use to.

This shit has been debunked ages ago, I can’t believe you’re posting this fanboy shit on SW. It turned out that the lower quality image was taken from one of those low quality autostream videos from the PS Store and manipulated by a lemming.

That's not at all what I've posted here. You can see characters details and textures have been simplified. The color contrast has been washed out like every PS4 game vs its reveal, and the clothing has been redesigned to simplify the textures.

Ah, so the sixthaxis tells you not to worry and you take is as gospel. So I'm guessing the video compression has simplified hair and facial features too. Here I thought textures were only really affected...

We go through this same shit every time Sony launches a new trailer. I still remember clowns posting about how HZD was downgraded and look how that turned out. If I were you I’d wait till we have the final game in our hands. Relying on fanboy manipulated videos only leads to embarrassment as we saw last year with HZD winning all the technical and graphics awards.

We are seeing more and more shots of "art direction" changes that involve removing more expensive textures and drops in color contrast. HZD is the console graphics king imo, but with every Uncharted and Killzone game we saw huge drops in quality in the final builds.

Not only that, look at Witcher 3, it got downgraded and that was a 3rd party game, but when Witcher 3 was release, it still look amazing and it was a successful game and that whole downgrading shit didn't hurt the game at all.

Downgrading is always the least of my worries, as long as the actual game is fun and gameplay wise, those are very important to me then a lousy downgrade of a game. Let's just wait for Digital Foundry Detroit Become Human get analyze and we can go from there. I been following Detroit for a long time and I can already tell you it's not downgraded at all.

Edit: When DF does a video, I will concede my words with no issues.

Game looks dope on both sides... a few beads of sweat and some shiny clothes missinf don't bother me none.

Besides I don't play ps4 for the graphic showcase... I just want the game.

I already figure many won't like this game, many din't like Telltale games either and similar games, maybe exception being Life Is Strange. I really don't mind what this game is. I like David Cage's past games, I am looking forward to him reintroducing branching paths into his game, something he said earlier is going to be more of a focus this time around.

Looks like old screenshots were taken from PC. Sony is master of downgrades.

Is the one on the left a regular PS4 version? Is it possible the PS4 Pro version would be a bit closer to the images on the right? I guess this is just the reality of hardware limitations. Either way, fans of QD games still have something to look forward to.

Yup, that's what I thought. Low quality video wouldn't be able to change the material of the cloth nor the lighting or shaders. It's evidently downgraded.

David Cage has proven himself capable of structuring and directing singular scenes that work well in terms of storytelling and in an interactive fashion, as the game asks players to engage with tense situations and take action while under pressure. He is able to do those kinds of scenes well. Or shorter interludes like the homeless chapter in Beyond. I feel like he thrives when he has something more condensed to put his focus into. I'd like to see Quantic do an anthology of short stories.

I am somewhat concerned about Detroit. I think it will once again contain good stand-alone segments. But I have the opposite of confidence in Cage's ability to write about anything touching on race. The guy used the "but I have a black friend" defense, and said to judge him by his work, which very much proves the opposite of what he thinks it does. Apparently he thinks his past work shows he's good at handling these topics? Does not inspire confidence.

Ummmmm...what? Is that why DF even published the video comparing the two and went as far as to say that the initial reveal was pre-rendered even if we ignore that the final game runs at half the FPS?
