- Xbox Series X /PS5- Quality Mode: 1440p/30fps with VRS | RT ON
- Xbox Series X/PS5 - Performance Mode: Dynamic 2048x1080p with VRS | RT OFF
- PS5 loads the slowest of all versions @1:36 taking 18 seconds while other version take nearly half the time
- PC version looks the best with no use of VRS instead using DLSS as a performance saving measure
- Xbox Series X has a performance advantage over PS5 in performance mode, see @4:59 of vid.
- The use of VRS on PS5 is worse than the Xbox Series consoles version
- Outside of resolution and VRS all versions appear graphically identical
My take away, all in all Dead Space Remake appears both technically and graphically inferior to The Colisto Protocol, which at least was displaying a very impressive use of ray-tracing as DF covered, while the use of RT shown in Dead Space Remake appears average at best.
Also the use of VRS is a horrible solution for performance saving (don't know why they didn't go with FSR 2.0 instead) and causing horrible artifacting on objects of the console version (refer to @0:50 of the video) of this game.
