TBH, I hope it’s good and performs well. I don’t want Sony Bend to close shop, but it’s hard to see a scenario justifying their existence if this game doesn’t perform.

Was never hyped for Days Gone anyway but Sony ensures their titles are pretty polished at launch so it'll probably score 8's, maybe a few 7's.

That does not tell me anything and I'm not one of these "ma cutscenes gameplay ratio kids". I'm just not interested in the game. Not interested in the story premise nor its gameplay. Bend should take the opportunity to do something different. The serious story telling field is kinda crowded especially at sony. They could have made a Vanquish for example with all the cinematics and just 5 hours gameplay. Ill be cool Im in.

They tell you that 20% of your time with this game will be spent watching game developers try to be filmmakers, something they are generally very bad at.

That's almost 6 hours of watching The Walking Dead marathon on TV and I'm not gonna do that again, so nope. I'm far more hype for Dying Light 2.

Is that all? That's nothing for a Sony game.

So six hours and 24 hours of gameplay.

Or one hour of video per four hours of gameplay.

That seems a little high, but whatever, it depends on how they break it up.

I thought game length includes cut-scenes, as cut-scenes are technically part of the game.

Its a generic zombie the game plus have more and more cutscene is just a pass.

30 hour gameplay is even less than some 10 bucks DLC. which are atleast hour or 2.

Not sure if I wanna get this game before TLOU2. I get bored of zombie games quick unless its L4D and I dont want to burn myself out on the zombie genre before TLOU2 comes out....

When you hear about The Last of Us, you always hear about the story/characters and never the game aspect.

Days Gone is the only exclusive I am truly hyped for at the moment. I love zombie-style games and never seem to tire of them. A 30-hour campaign sounds great, but the most important thing is of course still if the game is fun to play. I look forward to the reviews.

Campaign sounds much longer than anticipated.

The only problem I have with this is that the voice acting isn't especially good. Otherwise I'm pretty sure this isn't anything out of the ordinary for an open world game.

Quantum Break actually had full TV show length move sections around 22 minutes long for over 90 minutes of FMV for a in linear 12 hour game before even counting in game cut scenes. Now something like that would be a point that needs to be brought up.

If we are going to start detailing cutscene length for Sony exclusives, then you might as well do that for every big AAA game that gets released. Just randomly listing the cutscene/gameplay ratio for Days Gone without any context of other similar games is literally pointless.

I actually really enjoy cutscenes it adds to the the immersion. Yakuza games have up to 30 minute cutscenes and 40 hours of gameplay. I do not see the problem.

Who cares whether Sony games have cutscenes. MS need to learn from them and start putting out quality titles.

Fake news. Video game stories rarely rise to the level of a Hollywood B-movie and are far below even average literary standards. I play games for the gameplay. If I want a good story then I read a book.

Gears 5 is going to be a better game than Days gone. I saw a preview of Days gone when you run into a zombie or freakers on your bike you just push them instead of crunching them.

You want to make a bet that Gears 5 is a better game than Days gone? I don't count GS reviews because they are clearly bias against MS. On Metacritic Gears 5 will have a higher score than Days Gone. The loser leaves SW.

Yup, MS could learn a thing or two from them instead of releasing shitty low quality games with mind numbing gameplay with no context to them (eg. Crackdown 3 and SoT).

I have a feeling you haters are going to shut up when Ori 2 and Gears 5 are high 80's - low 90's games.

I don't even own a PS4 but can see good games when I see them. Ori 2 and gears 5 will be very good gears 5 is my most anticipated game this year. I'm going by what I've seen from days gone it looks a 8/10.
