Seriously though, no, I don't see it happening this time around. Especially with strong candidates for the PC, PS3, and 360 this year.

RE4 was for the GCN (2005) and Gears of War (XBOX360) was 2006 so no.

Also there isn't a Wii game this year that will win GOTY. It will most likely go to Gears of War 2, MGS4, GTA IV, Fallout 3, etc. SSBB was its only shot and it may not even be on the list of games for GOTY at GS.

The Wii has only won 1 GOTY with Mario Galaxy as RE4 wasn't on the Wii in 05 nor was the Wii on the market at that time. So before you go saying 4 lets start with 2 and no it won't win with 2 cause Wii Fitt and Wii Music are both trash

There is zero logic in this post.

The PC version of Spore will not work on Wii. The game's heavy reliance on online community will leave the PC version superior.

That's not to say that Spore Wii won't be a good game, it's just that I think the Wii lacks the online capabilities to deliver a game on the level of Spore on equal grounds with the PC version.

If you are going to make claims that the wii has three in a row, you cannot pick and choose which sites you wish to use. Anyone could spin things to make it seem like their system has won consecutive GOTY awards. Also, using backwards compatability in your argument is bs.

For Example:

2004-Site A gave Halo 2 GOTY

2005-Site B gave Call of Duty 2 GOTY

2006-Site C gave Oblivion GOTY

2007-Site D gave Bioshock GOTY

2008-

Gears of War 2 will be game of the year, 5 in row
