Look it played great then, but now we have shooters that are faster, control smoother, control better, more preceise, and all in all just better shooters. Only the extreme nostalgia lovers will honestly say Goldeneye owns current dated shooters still.
THe experience was great then, but now we have many big time multiplayer console games(thanks in large part to goldeneye). THis isnt a console war killer by any means.
Just imagine how much better this game will be with dual analog. Are the visuals being slightly updated? I wouldn't expect full 360 visuals, that would make the file size too big for arcade download, but even a slight upgrade (make the polygons and textures smoother) would be nice.
huh? Goldeneye was never my favorite game.. that honor belonged to Donkey Kong and Turok. nice job MS, milking these fanboys to death by remaking EXTREMELY easy to code games. i mean, wow. ok? big deal little buddy. game is a decade old.. have fun playing a game older then 4th graders. why are X360 fanboys so contradicting? they say they won the console war already like some futuristic vision has hit them; yet they cling on to fading memories like young children.

Well, Kent, I'll have to agree with you on this one. Goldeneye was one of my favorite games on N64. I'll have to buy some points to buy this when this comes out. Especially if the graphics get updated and it runs in HD.
Interesting that this is coming to XBLA - considering it was published by Nintendo...Erkidu
Nintendo can still have it on the VC and Microsoft will have the updated version just because Nintendo can put it on the VC they just can't update it because as Publisher they only have the rights to put the game on the VC as it was when they published it.

LOL, goldeneye is a joke by today's standards and i loved that game back in the day. im sure you'll have fun living in the past but this changes nothing. virtual console has no bearing on the console "war" watsoever im afraid.
