[QUOTE="Franko_3"]I bet Goldeneyes: Source will actually be betterGazzaB
I can't see that mod being allowed anymore if this rumour turns out true. Just like Halogen was stopped just before Halo Wars was announced.
then download it now, lol. it's nearly complete.
[QUOTE="Video_Game_King"]How's that possible? Rare holds rights to the game, yet EA owns the Goldeneye liscense. Kinda tricky.3picuri3
it's not the first time a game has been released on XBL that has rights tied up with 2 parties.
Other times? (by that, I mean list them, not that I'm surprised its happened before)
[QUOTE="wooooode"]The game is to outdated it will be fun for a week.3picuri3
yeah - because replaying mario and many many other games gets old
i'm sure it'll get old to the halo 2 kiddies, or anyone who didn't own an N64.. but to some people this is like getting Gears of War on XBL for the XBOX 1080
No its not, I dont know anyone who would want to play Goldeneye this day and age. You seriously are delusional about Halo's audience.
Goldeneye is pretty lame actually, oh well I just wont buy it.TerroRizing
why make such obvious damage control? at least try.

time sorry - TMNT arcade.
Goldeneye is pretty lame actually, oh well I just wont buy it.TerroRizinglol, if you call GE lame I can't wait to see how you call UT3
It was a fun game in 97. I don't hate it, but compared to what we are use to now, is this game still going to impress anyone?Darthmatt
not really impress per say. More like "live out some good ol' memories". Nostalgia is a pretty strong driving force in this crowd.
remapped controlls + online multiplayer = huge excitement, otherwise none.cakeorrdeath
Most important of all is to speed up the game. If you try playing Goldeneye on N64 now, its pretty much unplayable because the characters movement feels a lot slower than today's FPS games.
Anyone who doubts me, try it.

probably loves it like all cows. personally i gave up on UT in beta - i like twitch shooters from time to time, but it just wasn't any fun to me. and i did love the earlier UT games for the record.
Goldeneye will be great but i'm looking forward to PD more.
I'm seriously very excited about this. I have my N64 set up and was playing a few weeks ago (Banjo-Kazooie ftw.) However my PD game got a terrible glitch that makes the game unplayable. PD is my favourite FPS of all time and i will be buying it as soon as it becomes available.

I wonder if they are going to add some XBL multiplayer. That would be impressive.[QUOTE="shaggygrosser"][QUOTE="Darthmatt"]It was a fun game in 97. I don't hate it, but compared to what we are use to now, is this game still going to impress anyone?Darthmatt

same here - it ate up nearly a whole summer back in the day, sitting with the boys, having some beers - and playing Goldeneye or Perfect Dark :)
The game was fun for its time, but its too dated when compared to other recent FPS. Plus, there was WAY too much autoaim, but I guess that was to relieve the weakness of the N64 analog stick.batistafan99
what DONT you get about retro gaming on XBL? i think the whole point is that it's dated, it's nostalgic gaming. don't act like one of those mental reviewers who dock points on retro titles for 'not holding up over time'. it's like going to an antique dealer and telling him none of his stuff looks contemporary ---- no **** it doesn't, because it's not.

lol, nostalgic gaming. a waste of time and money. this is like buying a black and white TV just to relive "memories" with your family

that's fine man, i understand you don't 'get it'. you're probably still too young to understand :) one day you will. unless you're one of these new gamers that just care about visuals and not gameplay.
[QUOTE="Rougehunter"]Sounds cool. Still waiting for Perfect dark to come to XBLA3picuri3
read the full article - original PD and Banjo are on their way too :)

well, considering i had an n64, i cant be that young. and there is no good gameplay from GE anymore. the game moves too slow, there's way too much autoaim, the levels are really boring, and the AI is dumber than a bag of rocks.

:o:shock::)Banjo Tooie aswell (Because I would like to play both of those because when I was little I couldn't beat them and I don't have them anymore so when they come to XBLA I will get them hoefully Banjo's don't have Multiplayer well Banjo Tooie could since it did have multiplayer but Banjo Kazooie didn't)My head is about to asplode.
Goldeneye and my favorite game of all time Perfect Dark on the XBLA?
Can't wait for this.

aw.. someone is cwanky.
on top of that, it's free.
what do i have to be cranky about?
it's like when you listen to a band a lot and like them and then tell youre friends about them and they're like meh whatever
and a year later they're like yeah "this band is kick***!!!, i bought all their cd's and spinoffs!"
n then i'm just like ooooooooooooooooookkk
Awesome. But MORE pathetic.
RARE no longer has the talent to make games of the caliber they used to. So now, instead of a true sequal, we're getting the same game. They're essentially just making money off the talent of the past. I guess after they saw the transition from Perfect Dark to Perfect Dark Zero they realized it.
And while I'm ranting about RARE screw Banjo Threeie. It's going to tarnish the Banjo name. The first two were masterpieces.
They basically just had to get Activision to agree to it because they have the Bond Licence so they will probably Publish the remade version, Since Nintendo can still have Goldeneye on the VC but they can't change anything to it because they Published it and they have the Publishing Rights to the game as it was made on the N64 so if Nintendo doesn't change anything they could possibly release it on the Virtual Console.thinking about it, how is this possible:
RARE made the game
Nintendo published the game
MGM are owned by Sony!
and Activision have the bond licence
