@TheEroica: Oh yeah. The combat is a clear step up over any Souls game From Software made. Fast, visceral, deadly, flashy. In Bloodborne i feel like a guy with a weapon hacking at enemies. In Nioh i feel like a trained and disciplined samurai using an art form. No comparison.

People go gaga over bloodborne setting and atmosphere and they're great but Nioh plays better Imo.

@jereb31: it's also the most perfectly awesome coop multiplayer on earth.

In Nioh, i feel like a soccer hooligan fighting with a bicycle chain.

@cainetao11: I'm having an addiction to bloodborne right now. I love it so much. Good to hear the gameplay in Nioh resonated so much. I've always kept souks games at a slight distance because I never finish them. Haha. But I've been more invested lately and almost have bloodborne beat.

I like Bloodborne overall but gotta agree with @cainetao11 Nioh's combat mechanics are teh best. I'm surprised you haven't touched that game yet as you seem like the type who would like that more. One could say Nioh is the Bayonetta of the Souls games. Very underrated.

it's an interesting question because there's games in here that, in isolation, i would definitely rank higher, but when i compare them against the best from, in my case (i've gone for) the past 15 years, they rank relatively lower overall.
