Its undeniable. Sony is the definition of dominance. Wish it began in 2014 like it should have.
Not gonna lie, my days of shitting on PS4 are pretty much over. Not saying that because Horizon, that's still a wait and see. But Sony's been getting some damn good exclusives on the platform, no denying it.
Wish it could have happened sooner, but better late than never. I kept saying that 2017 would be the year that PS4 overtakes the WiiU as my ultimate side bitch, and it looks like that's coming true.
Alongside a PC? Yeah, it'll never be more than side bitch. But it's more than a Bloodborne box now. Bloodborne has been in my top five this gen for a while. Nioh seems safe to grab a spot too. I think TLG will leave an impression on me, and Nier 2 (yeah, not exclusive, but not day 1 on PC either) should be some good shit. And who knows, maybe Horizon will be the real deal.
Does the PS4 monopolize my game time the way PS1, PS2, and PS3 did? Nah. But a better side bitch than the WiiU at this point? I think so. If it weren't for Bayo 2 propping that console up, it'd be an easier choice lol.
Sony is a lousy slacker. They just put sufficiently enough effort to deliver more than MS, but they didn't try to beat their own previous generations achievements. 4 decent exclusives in 3 years is hardly like they are killing it. Only after 3 years plus my PS4 stopped to be a dust collector and paperweight, oh thank you sony for that - just because you do enough to be slightly better than competition, and we all know that they could do better than that. As a PC owner, I will never buy a console again. Just not worth it. Will never fall for hype again because of a few games overrated by fanboys. Plus consoles and their games occupy considerable amount physical space in my closet after the generation is over. Sorry I am not a nerd who would make a room shrine dedicated to consoles out of plastic boxes like some people do presumably to show how big gamers they are - I kinda want to get laid after all lol. When a generation ends, I just throw in everything to my closet.
Yeah, Nioh and Bloodborne look great. I'd buy them if they were on PC, but unfortunately, these are the only games I really want to play; doesn't warrant a purchase to only play 2 games. Although, I would have considered it if they gave me the ability to play online for free, even if it's just these 2 games.
I want them to introduce horde mode in Nioh. In co-op it'll be amazing. Infinite amount of waves. The higher wave you've gotten to, the better the reward at the end of the wave. make it happen.
If, like me, you hate Souls games, the only exclusives left on this list are UC4 and Horizon. The latter looks way too much like a 3rd person Far Cry to me - an utterly stale franchise. And as for UC4, I'd have liked to have played it, but from what I've seen it's not a game worth buying a console for in my opinion (no single game is truthfully).
Nioh and Bloodborne are two super similar games in such a niche genre, I wouldn't really count those as killer exclusives. Didn't play any Dark Souls games, same goes for those dungeon crawlers.
Uncharted 4 was solid, but not as good as 2 or 3 imo. Horizon is looking awesome and I'm hearing nothing but good things about it. Wish my bro didn't sell his ps4 so I could buy it.
