I will be getting a new game either tomorrow or wedneday depending on when Oblivion is actually in stores. I'll still have to wait for Oblivion's review but I'm guessing it should be PS3's first AAA anyways for those who have God of War 2 is it better than part 1?

God of War II is fantastic--that said, I think you should buy Oblivion.  You'll get MUCH more gameplay out of the experience.  Further, you dropped big bucks on a PS3, might as well get some use out of it.

I tried GoW 1 and have Oblivion, so I would say if you want a lengthy, quest filled, gorgeous game then get Oblivion, but if you want a awesome action gamr, God of War is for you.

I know right that's why I would still get DCM4 on PS3 anyways regardless of it going to 360 same with MGS4 if it goes multiplat.

God of War 2. Easily. Get Oblivion for your PC (if it can handle it) and partake in all of the free downloads. At least then you'll have limitless free add-ons, as compared to "what Sony gives you" for the PS3 Oblivion (and the Xbox 360 version, for that matter).

I haven't played GoW 2, but I can say that if you're a hardcore RPG fan, you'll probably dislike Oblivion. It lacks the scale and depth of the other Elder Scrolls games, and feels more like an arcadey hack'n'slash than a good RPG.

So, I'd probably recommend GoW2 - especially if you liked the first game.
