Doom 3 - Excellent game that regarded as black sheep of series.

Yes! Doom 3 is fucking awesome.

Other than that, I felt FF: Crystal Chronicles on the GC was underrated. No one remembers it (or its' amazeballs soundtrack) and very few people acknowledged its' really fun gameplay. I'd love to see a new one with improved gameplay, but it being very underrated, it will not happen.

As for this gen, No Man's Sky and Kingdom Come Deliverance. Brilliant games to me.

Puppeteer

One of the most visually unique games I've ever played. The gameplay is also good imo. Not the best when it comes to platformers but still fun enough

There are a lot more but Puppeteer is the one that always comes to mind when people mention the word "underrated"

Ding ding ding! This game is so fantastically developed, but certainly underappreciated. Love the art style and unique story. Would love to see more like it. Great 1st party game.

@dorog1995: While the game did have Thomas Jane as the voice of Punisher, it was still based more off of Garth Ennis Punisher Max comics. Probably the best Punisher run ever.

quite a few mentioned already i would agree with - i'll add crysis 2. once i got over the fact it's a completely different story arc and shares little with the original and warhead i thought it was a very competent shooter with good shooting mechanics, decent ai, viable stealth and some great set pieces and was, as an overall package, considerably stronger than a lot of other fps released around the time

Oh another underrated game is The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD on hero mode.

If you are a Zelda fan you ought to play TP HD on hero mode.

It will blow your mind. It creates a sense of economy. It creates a purpose for the potion shop. For all the faerie pools. For all the heart pieces and wallets. You will absolutely guaranteed change the way you look at Twilight Princess by playing it that way. It's bloody amazing. The story is the best of all Zelda's. The dungeons are great.

I am asking for Hero Mode (especially the no hearts from grass/pots part) to be in all future Zelda titles.

I forgot to add some other ones:

Indiana Jones and the emperor's tomb : An amazing Indiana jones game developed by Collective(Guys behind Buffy the vampire slayer game) But this game was too buggy on consoles since it was somehow rushed but the PC version was the most polished version was amazing. It has a great melee combat , many variety in gameplay , and good exploration. I really prefer this game over Uncharted and Tomb Raider.

Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine : A great Tomb Raider clone with a much better storyline. It was criticized for being too similar to Tomb Raider while in reality Tomb Raider was too similar to Indy movies.

Remember that one. It was so enjoyable .(Played it on PC and stuck in that level where Sam the dog only has 2 remaining sheeps)
