Metal Gear Solid series, without a doubt.

The End, The Boss, Psycho Mantis, Solidus, and all of they Metal Gear fights (especially Raiden vs. the dozens of corrupted MG RAYs) was simply superb.

probably either Ninja Gaiden or Zelda.
