@Basinboy: Bayonetta 2 while excellent is only better on an initial play through. When it comes down to depth, player expression, difficulty, and all that jazz Bayonetta is winning by a good margin.
good margin? Nah, slight exaggeration there mate.

In terms of depth? Entire mechanics are missing from Bayonetta 2 mate. It's an easier game, significantly so, and you don't have nearly the same amount of opportunities for elaborate custom combos during the main campaign thanks to the boss rush nature of the game. Hell in the case of Jeanne's equivalent (the Lumen Sage), which is a good fight, it's a significant downgrade from how much more the player could do against Jeanne.
Bayonetta sold around 2 million the first few weeks and Sega wasn't happy enough to fund another sequel. I hope they have found a more modest milestone for success on their games. While they're at it, they should release the game on Xbox One via backward compatibility.

True that. Plus, this is a late port, but good quality and they're kinda dropping these surprise bombs on the PC, which only goes to show how sales could be bolstered with full and on-time releases.

Bayonetta 1 is backwards compatible.
