If Bayonetta did not appear in the trailer, I would have thought it would be a new PlatinumGames title.

I'll wait for reviews. I really hope those infernal weave fights are not a core part of the game.

Looked awesome, I’m so very hyped for this. Definite day one purchase for me. For a second there I totally thought it was Astral Chain 2. 😅

@sheep99: With the graphics looking like a PS3 game, it'd probably be 1080 60 for the most part.

I thought Dread was an ugly game, but i guess Bayo wanted to compete. The Switch gives us the opportunity to visit 2007 visuals in 2021 and beyond. And her jpop dance cringed me so hard i can't think straight for the past 15 minutes.

So did I... I definitely would've been equally as hyped for that.

But f*ck yeah Bayo 3 looks awesome... easily in my top 3 most wanted!

There is a lot wrong with that trailer.

One concern that comes to me: Bayonetta seemed way dialed back in this trailer. She seemed less raunchy and less stripper.

Her characterization feels off to me, and if they dialed her back to appeal to younger audiences, I feel like that would defeat the whole point of her characterization and sexuality from the previous games.

I found a theory that it could be younger Bayo.

Why does this look like the lead development machine was the WiiU?!?

Because there's no technological difference between the two? And even then, Platinum somehow made an even worse product out of Wonderful 101 well before SEGA did with a Wii game.

I suspect it's just more a case of they were told to tone it back for the trailer by Nintendo as there would also be a younger audience watching too. if it was a specific Bay03 only direct it would be more concerning.

when it comes to the game itself i wouldnt be worried. Nintendo seem hands off with the direction.

Funny cuz this is the first time i wasn't bothered by her look. Massive improvement from the last two, in my opinion.

Bayonetta 3 just showed more gameplay in under 4 minutes than Sony showed at their entire conference a couple weeks ago.

Bayonetta continues to turn game trends on their face and smash them to bits. Day 1 indeed.

Really don't like the art style and characters in this game.

Looks on par with the other ones, no? Comboing, finishers, QTEs, lots of crazy shit happening, cringy cinematics. Looks like Bayonetta to me. Controlling big monsters to battle other big monsters might be new, I dunno?

Or if you're talking about how it looks visually, the Switch hardware is very is dated. Nintendo got stuck with Wii U graphics, just like they got stuck with GC graphics during the Wii.

The first two games didn't grab me so I'm not gonna bother with this one.

Best played on PC.

@osan0: @nintendoboy16: I would hope so. This trailer looks more like an opening sequence to a game. First game she was dressed like a Nun and second she was in her Sunday Best before her transformation into the Bayo we love.

I hope it is just for the Nintendo Direct and not a whole game with Bayo dialed back. If they change her characterization, anything for "for the children" or to "appeal to wider audiences", I will think she's changed for the wrong reasons.

I've known a lot of female gamer's that are super into the Bayonetta series, and one of the reasons is how unapologetically sexy the character is, and how she rocks the sexy without the male gaze. That's a dynamic these games do particularly well and I hope they preserve or at least have a good reason to change her that makes sense to her character, rather than economic wide-spread appeal purposes.

Looks even worse than their last fluster cuck, the canceled Scalebound. ;o

I really wish I liked these games, as you folks really seem to enjoy them, but I just do not.

@Archangel3371: @hrt_rulz01: I think that tease of an Astral Chain sequel is just about confirmed. Why else would they have that character with the #2 gesture? There's no way that's just a troll maneuver that won't amount to anything.

EDF is making more progress, graphically. Yeah, looks weak. I like that Bayonetta has her younger look, though. Shame this is on Switch.

lol yeah, not really. Wasn't expecting much tbh, but this trailer didn't do anything for me.

Half the trailer spent on cinematics, weird move for a game that looks this bad. What little gameplay they did show was so basic, can't get a read on where they're going with the combat system. Obvious placeholder UI is missing elements, can't get an idea of meter management.

Trailer is basically - "sup yall, our game really exists kinda. here's some surface level action that won't appeal to those who really play our stuff". - Seems like the kind of trailer they should have shown back when the game was announced lol.

Anyways, just a trailer. Hope they show some real deal gameplay soon.

One silver lining here, expected the game to look rough if Platinum is still targeting 60fps. And it seems that's what's up, a compromise I gladly accept.

Bayo 2 was a dumbed down kiddie action game. Focused more on spectacle, style over substance type of thing. This looks to be more of that, with a seemingly far less sexualized Bayonetta. Don't even get a good look at dat ass.

Can't help but think this is because of Nintendo.

Dumbed down or not, I am just not into the hack n slash button mashing that is these games. It is why I never cared for the old God of War titles.
