[QUOTE="lostfan132"]75% of people on system wars are pc gamers. Console gamers rule on the outside though. Not where i live buddy. You live on a desolate island?[QUOTE="jun_aka_pekto"]
PC, of course. I might need to first upgrade my 5770 though.

[QUOTE="RyviusARC"]Im getting BF3 on PC and Skyrim on a PS3. My PC is more than capable of handling Skyrim and BF3 for that matter. I just feel Skyrim is a game meant to be played on an Onkyo 7.1 setup while sitting on your couch in your living room.Getting BF3 on consoles is like getting Skyrim on consoles....bleh.

It is like that you cannot play Skyrim on pc with "Onkyo 7.1 setup while sitting on your couch in your living room" and at the same time enjoying better graphics, gameplay and mods that consoles cannot have.

maybe he doesnt have his rig in his living room :P
I'm not a PC gamer, but Battlefield 3 might be the first PC game I'll ever buy. I have Bad Company 2 on a console, but after hearing how the PC version of BF3 will support 64 players, I'm pretty hyped. However, I do not know anything about online gaming on PC. I don't even know how to mod games and such, and I've never used a mouse and keyboard for an FPS before, so we'll see.
Going to get it for the 360 1st so I can play with firends, and if I like the game I will get it for the PC when I see it on sale. I remember getting BC2 like 3 months after it came out for only $25.
I won't get it period. I will never buy a fps full price ever again, single player is too short and don't get care about online multiplayer. when I see it for 10$ i might get it for the ps3
PC. I feel bad for those getting it consoles. Doesn't look as good or play as good and PC gets 64 players and larger maps.

Don't feel bad, we still get to play the game :D
Well your 8800 and dual core is not gonna cut it for BF3. So unless you plan on upgrading, get the console version. Youll still get better graphics and performance with your setup but 30 fps on a mouse and keyboard is a world of difference compared to 30 fps on a gamepad.USBxDVD
The 8800gt is 3-4 times more powerful than a console.
If that couldn't cut it then consoles wouldn't have a chance in hell of running it at all.
Most likely an 8800gt can play on a mix of medium to high if you keep the resolution at 1680x1050 or below.
Consoles will run it at the bare minimumand 1280x720 or below.

Maybe in theoretical performance, however in real world performance, that's not really the case.

Nope it's pretty much the case.
Although it's hard to prove since console games usually have very specific settings.
x4 times the power of consoles from a mid range GPU that came out 1 year after them. Just think about that for a second.. there's no way that is possible.

It's between 3-4 times as powerful.
The highest end GPU before the Xbox 360 was released was the 7800gtx.
The 7800gtx is still a bit more powerful than either console.
The PS3 has a gimped 7800gt which was more between a 7600gt and 7800gt and the Xbox 360 had a slightly more powerful GPU.
Two 7800gtx cards couldn't even come close to an 8800gtx when compared and the 8800gt is only slightly weaker.
The 8800gt is probably on average a little more than 3x as powerful.
The jump from the 7800 series to the 8800 series was a big performance leap with a whole new architecture.
[QUOTE="millerlight89"][QUOTE="Chris_Williams"]You say way better games and follow it up with a DBZ game, you so funny :P hmm? military shooters aren't my thing "i'm a sci-fi shooter guy" so resistance 3 is going to be my first person this season but at the end of the day, dbz ultimate tenkaichi looks really good and all i want in a dbz game, so i''ll take that over battlefield anydayneither, way better games coming out.. i'm more pumped for dbz ultimate tenkaichi

dbz games have sucked since the days of the ps2.. their over the top over complicated fighting games with their only variantion over other fighting games being the ability to power up your character and the ability to fly.. neither of which make the game any more fun then say generic fighting games no.20776
go play some street fighter 4 and then tell me theres a better DBZ game than it.. novelties and cheap tricks dont make a game "good" only slightly less boring to play.

[QUOTE="bbkkristian"]Not everyone has $600 PC's. True. Some people spend even more than that in non(or pretty poor) gaming capable computers.[QUOTE="lpjazzman220"]
wait...people actually want to get the nerfed version?
Arach666
true pc's do have their draw backs...price primarily...and i give props for not saying 3000usd+ i personally think 600-1200 is reasonable for a pc...especially since i do most of my work from one...the only reason im not a big fan of the console version is cause they are droppin the max player number...not that big of a deal on rush...but conquest is gonna be kinda empty
if your computer can handle it, mind as well get on PC. Unless you have more friends on console..Either PC or PS3. I still a have not made my final decision.
xOMGITSJASONx
I usally get multiplayer FPS on my ps3 to play with my friends but i always get battlefield for the pc.
