The gameplay videos I saw looked amazing. Now I don't know if to get this or Doom for my FPS fix.

Eh, I'll pick it up on the cheap. Was kinda interested, the MP beta killed all interest I had in it.

Beta was terrible. and SP always suck in BF. seriously how come Doom cant reach 9 yet stale, done to death BF did.

Kinda sad these games represent my fav genre.

Doom hasn't been to death? Doom 1, 2, 3, and a million clones isn't enough for you? At least BF 1 is attempting a time period rarely done in games. Doom on the other hand is the most generic trite shit a person could possibly think of. Very repetitive, one-note game.

I'm waiting the annual buy 2 get one free sales, then Black Friday to get games that I may have missed out on throughout the year.

It's not that hard to do well in Battlefield games. You don't even have to be good at shooting people, you can top the scoreboard just by doing objectives (capping) and supporting teammates.

What a crock of shit... people just love their overly simplified dumbed down games these days. Easily the worst BF MP I have ever played. Battlefront 1 isn't a 9... no no no. I haven't played the campaign, and since I cancelled my pre-order, I might never get the chance. Which is a shame really, because I'm sure it's the best part of the game... those mechanics though.. I can't slog through that snails pace crap.. can't do it. For everyone else (that will spend 15-20 hours on the game and move on though) well, I hope you enjoy it. Just like Battlefront, this game will be dead in a couple/few months, I called it first here. Now everyone can tell me I was wrong, just like they did when I said the same about Battlefront... which was dead in about 3.

Yeah, especially in Conquest. I think suppose was really huge in BF: BC2.

Other than the part about Doom, I completely agree. Beta was COMPLETE trash. If that's what you want to call it.. you know a "beta".. lol.

They ought to make Battlefield of Duty: Dora's Adventure as their next game. The objective is to score the most points on the battlefield giving out aim assisted QTE hugs. First player to give 10 hugs wins and you unlock a rainbow unicorn mount that is completely indestructible and you also get... well, nothing, because after all, we is toos stupide for custimizasions and wants things simplifies.. I mean am I right? Remember everyone complaining that the other games in the franchise were too much to worry about and too complicated? Everyone was asking them to strip features 98% of the features that have been franchise staples right? Guys? Guys? No? hmmmm.... interesting. I guess it's an easy way to make half a game and just throw some new skins on Battlefront and call it a day while making maximum profit though. A 9? Really? lol... no. Even Hardline is better than this game. When a SHOOTER has awful SHOOTING mechanics that's not a good sign.

Sure, like I said, I might pick it up on the cheap eventually just to try the campaign, but the MP is not even a joking matter. It's so bad that it is actually kind of insulting..

I might have taken it a little further than others (heh), but it's nice to see several others agree. This game will die fast. Mark my words.

Man... I am SO GLAD to see I'm not the only one who thought the MP was horrible.. just horrible.

Not really interested in playing the MP, just Battlefield 1 campaign is all I care about and will pick this up day one.

Atleast Doom is not casual shooter with regen healht, cover system, walking in straight line, cinematics, etc.

games like COD/BF has been done to death so much that Doom 2016 is breath fresh of air and highlight how bad FPS has become in period of time.

Did the reviewer finish the SP campaign? Because he played it for 6 hours, and I was wondering if that was it, 6 hours of SP.

I'm reading great things about the campaign. Maybe I'll pick it up. MP is not my thing, but a good tack on when the campaign is tight.

Early access is fun as hell. I'm enjoying the MP, immensely.

I'm trying to decipher why you guys say the beta sucked but I'm not really seeing why. There are less customizations? How so? Can you elaborate?

I've played it. Only nice thing about it is the graphics. I take these reviews with a grain of salt

Might buy it when they fix all the bugs and glitches that the gaming media overlooks in order to give it a 9.

same can be said about titanfall 2. its MP looks straight out trash but SP looks promising. if SP is indeed good which i doubt. i may get it when it will be cheap.

I'm surprised so many people are dismissive of the campaign. What I've played so far smashes my expectations. I thought the move to WW1 was a mistake. After spending time with the campaign, I can admit I was wrong. And they are doing a great job with creating impactful storytelling moments.

And again, I love how nobody plays the campaign. But when a shooter comes out without a campaign, everybody is up in arms. Gamers are a sad yet funny bunch.

I also remember people saying BF4 was going to be dead in a few weeks after it's poor launch (and it was a poor launch). That never came true either. Maybe being hyperbolic about this is the wrong way to go.

My friend, I respect your opinion. Doom and Quake are mainstream. but they in among fanbase and ID software of old 90s are now back. Doom raise the bar for FPS genre high since Half life 2 that will not going to be surpass SP wise. now MP wise we know quake champions coming out. and no doubt will be best MP game. I dont care much about MP games but this is ID software so i wont miss it. if BF1 SP is good then i may get it in bargain bin.

ID software return to show how todays FPS getting stale, boring and bland. and sadly Doom will get ignore in best FPS of the yaer as it will be all about between BF1, titanfall 2 or COD IW.

Very glad Battlefield 1 owned your generic , no scary DOOM 2016. Battlefield 1 , Shadow Warrior 2 are miles better than DOOM ^_^
