Poll Are you playing Tears of the Kingdom @ 4k 60fps? (44 votes)
For those that know. And if you're not quite hitting 4k, all good.

@girlusocrazy: Then you have failed. You don’t own the copyright to the game so you can’t copy or use to content in ways that Nintendo doesn’t allow.
If you really believe that, why do you think nintendo doesn't even try to fight emu devs in court?
@crimson_v: The emulator itself isn’t the problem. It’s the use of the content. Nintendo doesn’t own the rights to an emulator, it’s not their intellectual property. But emulation of Nintendo content is highly illegal.
And Nintendo is getting more stricter, they just shut down Pointcrow the modder of Breath of the Wild. Pointcrow make a mod for game he bought and Nintendo slapped him straight in the face. Nintendo says ZERO mods are allowed.

Emulation is legal, that is the reason why Nintendo can't take emu devs to court (others have tried decades ago and failed), recent changes to DMCA made dumping games illegal in the USA (with few exceptions like if its single-player gameplay that was locked out by authentication servers no longer being online or available or if you are an “eligible” library or museum and doing preservation), but that's not the case for the rest of the world, some of us can download emulators and emulate our legally dumped backup copies. (the USA used to have that right too)
Pointcrow went against the end user license agreement and that's a very different topic.
And Nintendo is getting more stricter,
Got that right. Nintendo so rabid about the shit, they copyright strike themselves sometimes.
Even TotK wasn't safe.
Nintendo sanctioned preview footage from the game, then if you streamed that footage you got DMCA'd. Absolutely hilarious company
@ConanTheStoner: Cause they can do whatever the hell they want 😎
@howmakewood: They’re allowed to do that 😎
They own the content, they are protected by copyright laws.
Yeah that kinda tells you how great the DMCA system is
why are you like this?
mesome just trolls 24/7, never made a serious post on this account or his last. Doubt he actually believes any of this shit.
But it really does suck how we have this generation of gamers who are completely indoctrinated. Industry did a knock out job at raising useful idiots.
Angry at people for running software on a machine of their choosing. Accusing them of theft on top of it. And somehow we're the assholes? Completely irrational.
@ConanTheStoner: Don't know mesome really, but think dude is serious. Seen this level of delusion before. Pretty damn rampant these days actually.
@nod_calypse:
I mean, possibly. He's been doing this schtick forever though. Previous handle was Iandizion713. Been trolling just about every gaming forum you can think of for at least 15 years lol.
Some of it's just too out there to be real imo.
I really didn't want to get into the threads, so I let it be at the time, but...
He got doxxed out one time. Turns out he's a ratty looking white dude from Florida. Yet recently he was in some threads here saying he's an oppressed POC lmao. Even more ironic, some years back one of his posts was featured in a news article about gamers and racism on the internet. He just flips to whatever position will get him the most traction at the time.
Seems like standard troll shit to me.
@ConanTheStoner: Inadizon713? Ohh that name kind of brings back some memories. Whatever the case, whether hes serious or trolling, I mostly agree with him anyways. Most people in SW are trolls, too.
No need to doxx anyone either, I think thats going too far, and who really knows if any of that is true.

Yeah man, I don't agree with the doxxing, just saying it happened.
Unless you're implying that I just did? Don't think white guy in FL is all that specific lol.
I'm an Egyptian dude currently staying in north Alabama. Damn, doxxed out.
@mesome713:You should probably look up the laws. I am playing this on my Switch, but most people here do seem to be following the law.
@mrbojangles25: I am actually curious on what your opinion is on this game, even if you havent played it. I know you dislike handhelds, japanese games and Nintendo. But aside from that, this game looks almost tailor-made for you.
I haven't but most likely will eventually. I want to play it on Switch first, might tackle both it and BoTW @ 60 fps after I'm done with this playthrough.
Nintendo really should just port their games to PC at this point. you can already get the best experience there, but without the option to pay for it
Nintendo would rather commit... that Peaky Blinders meme before ever doing that.
@davillain: Char killed my account cause I won Nintendo fanboy of the year 3 years in a roll. He couldn’t take it any more 😊
I miss that account, it was from 2001. But it had to be killed cause my two emails associated with it the companies no longer exist. So couldn’t use it anymore.

and i explained to you how emulating games and what Pointcrow was doing was different nintendos legal team copyright claimed some of Pointcrows videoes they haven't won in court or proven that what Pointcrow was doing doesn't fall under fair use,
either way it doesn't matter in most countries you are legally allowed to make backups of your games and since emulators are legal in all(?) countries you are allowed to play them on those emulators, it's that simple, why is this such a difficult concept for you to grasp?
If you don't live in the US you could go out buy the newest mario game ask a friend to loan you his switch, dump the game with it and then play it on your favorite emulator all legally without owning a switch.
@crimson_v: No you can’t cause Nintendo said no. In order to use Nintendos software you have to agree to their terms of service. Only a couple countries don’t respect Nintendos ToS and Nintendo actually refuses to sell to them.
And Pointcrow ain’t gone do shit. He was begging for Nintendos forgiveness and Nintendo told him to go eat a dick.

why does it matter what nintendo says? companies can only enforce their Tos by refusing service, and as far as i know their Tos has nothing to say about emulation or making backup copies (feel free to give an example where it does like a screenshot), and even if it did that doesn't say anything about the legality of the matter.
and as i said what does nintendo copyright striking some youtube channels have to do with any of this?

I one hundred percent agree. They don't have to do them day and date, but give the option for people that don't want to be held back by Nintendo's hardware, *ahem*... philosophy.
@crimson_v: Well let me educate you homie.
Read line number 4. You dont like the rules? Go buy from some other artist.
Pointcrow tried to say that since he bought the game hes allowed to mod the game. And Nintendo said no. They said either take down your video showing you modding the game or will sue you for billions and BILLIONs. And Pointcrow said, o me so sorry, me not do it again.

They never will. They want their own device so they can control the experience completely. Imagine Nintendo doing PC tech support.
Nevermind that just think of when Apple first ported iTunes and QuickTime to Windows and imagine Nintendo providing that type of experience on PC.
I think the current way to play Nintendo games on PC is probably the best way.
i mean, they could do what Sony has done and hire a in-house studio to make and support PC ports. I imagine that'd pay for itself pretty quickly.
not sure how people pirating/emulating games on their PCs is the "best way" for Nintendo
@crimson_v: And also, if you think its legal to backup copies of Nintendo games, then make a device that can backup Nintendo games for customers and sell it to them. Youll be super rich homie.
O wait...thats ILLEGAL! Sorry bro, no get rich for you.
