Like maybe you were mad that activision blizzard layed off 800 people

Or Maybe you didn't like EA's Anthem's Pay for early access.

Are you currently boycotting a company or do you just don't care about that type of stuff and just buy games and don't care about the companies.

I currently am not buying activision blizzard microtransactions and am just waiting for wow vanilla to launch to see if its any good but I won't buy Micro's from them right now after they fired all those people.

Didn't boycott any companies but I haven't played a single game from Ubisoft, Activision and EA over the last 6 years. Unless they give their games with ps plus and even then those games doesn't interest me enough to warrant a download.

I guess we all technically boycott by simply not buying or supporting things. Actually nah. We're just consumers and if a product does not interest us then we don't buy it. We are not responsible for a company fucking up their own reputation.

I would boycott Konami but they don't make anything anyway.

I don't buy anything by or touched by Microsoft because I just can't support their business practises past and present.

For a while I would not buy anything by Sony when they fucked people over when removing features from the PS3 and telling people to go **** themselves, but that kinda resolved itself in the end.

Boycotting? No. It's an entertainment business. If they make something entertaining it behooves me to enjoy it as I have enjoyed the hobby since the early 80s.

I do have what it call a "lack of faith" in particular developers and publishers, but I always root for them to make something great. Even EA and Activision. It does nothing for our hobby when someone releases a lousy game.

Destiny for example is a game that I don't want anything to do with because of the way they dole out content with their pricing model. It's pretty crap, but I'm not boycotting it, I just choose to play something else. The next Destiny could be fantastic and they could change the pricing model to fit the content... I just have a lack of faith they will.

Gun Media for Friday the 13 game. They recently put out a trash patch, and I stopped playing as soon as double xp week ended. Sad that the devs decided to do this to their game, but oh well.

Though for the most part, I don't really boycott. Really shitty developers didn't interest me in the first place, so I can't boycott their games. *shrugs*

Nope, if a game interests me, I'll either get it or at least consider it.

I will say I won't bother buying another platform just for a couple exclusives. I would grab a PS4 pro(for Bloodborne and God of War) if I had some extra cash, but at the moment, that's a big negative.

Nintendo because they make terrible games and even worse hardware.

The Wii/wiiU/switch are some of the trashiest consoles ever created and I wish Nintendo would grow up and quit the gimmicks.

Use some of that money into making high quality/high budget games instead of porting the same cartoon games every gen.

And fanboys need to raise their standards and stop giving Nintendo a pass “because Nintendo”.

EA, Bioware and it subsidies

I will not be buying their new game Jedi: Fallen Order. Also, Bethesda as a publisher and developer. If I do get the those games it would from the local library.

To lesser degree, I don't buy Nintendo stuff that has Mario name or is closely attached with the mascot. I do buy Zelda and some other stuff. I don't like how overused/milked the character is.

No. Even worse are the people that show the developers who's boss by buying the game used.

Games that score less than 80/100 on metacritic, so basically almost all Xbone exclusives.

Nope. Haven't bought an EA, Ubisoft or Activision game in ages. But would they release something I'd want, I'd get it.

If EA would ressurect EA BIG and make a new SSX game I'd buy it. If Ubisoft made a new Rayman, I'd buy it. If Activision... published Sekiro, I'd buy it while being annoyed that it's Activision publishing it.

I won't purchase anything that has the Activision logo on it after what they did to one of my favourite devs.

The last thing I refused to buy was Splinter Cell Blacklist, due to Ubi replacing Micheal Ironside. I've heard it's a pretty good game, and I bought every other Splinter Cell day one. Idk, but it just felt like the right thing to do.

I believe Ironside will be back for the next one, so I'm anxiously awaiting it.

EA, MS and Nintendo.

Kind of, because f*** EA. F*** them for their overpriced DLCs that don't even get discounted properly during sales. And especially f*** them for what they've done to C&C.

Was meant to end in 2018, actually, but it was so easy I decided to see how long it can go. Over a year later, it somehow got even easier. And with Anthem looking like it's going to stumble out of the gates, I think it will be another six months before they have anything that will even remotely tempt me to end it. EA keep making this way, way too easy.

So you don't buy any movies that are on BluRay then?

Anything made by the devs who made Arc and early access games in general.

I do avoid Ubisoft and Capcom games, RE2 Remake is the first game from Capcom I have bought in a very long time and I really liked it, its easily the best game this year so far. Cant remember the last Ubisoft game I bought, Ass Creed 2 I think. I did get The division free with a video card I bought so that doesnt count, plus it was a shit game, played it for about 2 hours. I dont necesarily avoid EA games, theres just nothing for a long time now from EA that interests me.

I dont buy Rockstars games any more. I know they are good games and chances are I would like them but the way they treat gamers on the PC platform as an aftermarket so they can milk more console sales and have people double dip and pay full price for what will then be an old game means they dont deserve my money. Ballad of Gay Tony and TL&TD for GTAIV was the last thing I bought from Rockstar, and it was really good too. There are also game series I wont buy either, Gears of War is one example, again I somewhat enjoyed Gears 1 but I was denied of Gears 2 or 3 so why would I buy 4?

Activision, but that's only because their games are terrible, they are pieces of software aimed at milking people, I can hardly call them video games.

I'm not boycotting Activision, if they make something worthwhile, I'll most likely buy it. But I don't feel the urge to buy one of their products.

I could buy RDR 2 right now for console at a low price, but I just won't because I really want to play RDR 2 on PC. It's my choice and since Rockstar isn't owned by Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony, I can wait.

I also feel like skipping RDR 2 because R* doesn't seem to want to support PC until years later, when the console well dried up. But neither option (buying the game or not buying the game on PC) will change anything.

@R4gn4r0k: Rockstar got me. I couldn't resist the urge to play rdr 2 so I've gone ahead and bought the game on my pro. Now I will have to double dip when it releases on PC.

But yea, Guess. More or less ignore EA/Call Of Duty and a large wave of Ubisoft games. At this point, I would say Rayman and Spinter Cell, which will probably be fucked up is the only thing worth caring about.

Probably the closest I come to a boycott is no longer buying Madden, but that’s more due to being fed up with the NFL’s B.S. — denying concussions for so long, colluding against Kaep, generally racist owners — and my habit of bouncing off the game almost immediately, and not because I have anything against EA or Tiburon.

Madden was the 1st game I boycott. I recently got out of a 13 year hiatus to buy this game at a discount of an earlier version. Nothing major changed since 2006.

Boycotting a video game company is no better than censorship. If you do not like a product for any reason, do not buy it or boycott its maker

Boycotting ??? nah ... not really. I mean i usually don't consume any Ubisoft or EA products, but that's because they almost never appeal to me (maybe the last EA game that i got, was ME Trilogy and for Ubi was either Black Flag or Rayman) and usually whatever they do is

I'm actually very close to boycotting Activision, because what they've been doing is horrible ... and i really dislike Bobby Kotick... sadly, they are still in charge of some of my favorite franchises ever, like Warcraft, Starcraft and Hearthstone ...
