When 8k TV's become affordable people are going to go and buy them and then watch them from 10 feet away and wonder why they look exactly the same as the 4K TV they just ditched.

I am still skeptical about games running at this resolution. My GPU barely handles 4k 60fps and it's a beast.

I am still happy with 1080P.. Sony Bravia panel is beautiful for what i need.

I am only considering 2560x1440 because GPU's are now a little too fast for 1080P.

And i am shaking my head and laughing at people who think they will get true 120FPS at 4K next gen, it's not even here on PC.

I sat at best buy and looked at the 8k samsung qled for awhile. You can see the higher res when you're looking for it hard and that's about it. No content yet for it either.

It would be a huge waste in the next console jump to use that added power on chasing the resolution horizon. Give it a few more years at least, that can be Sony and MS's mid-gen upgrade selling point.

Yeah, I won't be updating anytime soon. Besides the Samsung 8k screens have inferior contrast.
