So if u already sold ur PS4, u have to download the ps4 ver on ps5, export saves, then download ps5 ver, import saves.

I'd be more confident about any future Tomb Raider product if I knew Crystal Dymamic was on it, because Eidos Montreal really sucked at making Shadow of the Tomb Raider and I hope they don't make another. Anyhow, if Crystal Dymamic is pulling an Anthem with this then no hopes over them making next Tomb Raider.

The whole reboot trilogy was crap. Bring back dual pistols and short shorts. I liked the light hearted nature of the old ones. I don't need to see a bloody Lara being tortured.

I’m not arguing that Sony needs to step up their game and doing something equivalent to Xbox but is this really a huge issue?

One step requires you to load the PS4 game to get the game save on the PS5 version. I would say that is a pretty big step if you are migrating from PS4 to PS5 and you only have a PS5.

Basically. The game looks really good on the PS5, well worth the data migration once complete. Looking forward to that Black Panther update.

Not necessarily. If you have PS+ your game is automatically uploaded, but that would be the incompatible PS4 game save. So, if you have a PS5, you have to update the save with the latest version of the PS4 version before you can play the PS5 version. It is a hassle. It wouldn't be an issue for too long.

PC gamers get ports so bad they literally have to apply multiple fixes themselves.

Even games that work, a lot of the time still need to go into the config files.
