True dat! How can you go against a team that beat the Spurs? I am also happy that Miami took game 1 in Detroit but they still will have a tough time winning the series. I am going for:

I don't think so. The Mavs have been on a tear and Phx is faster than any team out there. It's a toss up or it's more for whoever wins the West will win it all. The teams in the East just can't score like the West. We'll see what happens though.

Winning championships or in the playoffs is about defense. That is why pretty much every team who has won an NBA Finals has been a defensive oriented team. No matter if you score 120 points per game, that means your defense has not gotten its proper focus and it will hurt you in the long run. The Suns will not win with that style, plain and simple. They lack an elite, physical defense and a true inside defense.
Scoring, and being fast is thrown out the window when it comes to determining a champion but teams who make critical defensive stops when it counts are the teams who usually hold the trophy at the end of the year.
jesus the heat win one game in the series and mostly every person is saying that they are going to beat the Pistons, did you forget about their last series, I know the heat are a lot more talented than the cavs but come on it's still the Pistons. My guess is that heat vs. pistons will go to 7 and the pistons will win, while the suns vs. mavs will go to 6 with the suns winning, then the pistons probably will beat the suns in the finals although I have hope that the suns can continue to "get lucky"(even though offensively they were the most impressive team this year). The suns have been great to watch and they never give up that is why they continue to "get lucky (<skills biotch)". hopefully they'll win it all this year, the team deserves it.

Why is cold harsh reality mostly in the form of Germans?
The more that I think about it, the more the Pistons are looking shaky. Although I think they'll slide by the Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals (they'd be fools if they didn't, not as a put-down to Miami but Detroit is the much better team), I think the Mavericks will have their way with the Pistons with five or six games, give or take.

If the Mavericks continue to allow the Suns to dictate the pace of the games, then the Mavericks are in trouble,despite me picking the Mavs in 6 games. The Mavericks are not going to thrive in an uptempo, run and gun style game. So far the Suns are dictating the pace of the game.

Wow steve nash is amazing...but i still think Dallas will win despite game 1...detroit will beat the heat and there will be a mavs-pistons showdown in the finals.
hard to go against the Heat...i mean D-Wade is shooting like friggin' 70% against the "defense minded" Pistons...i think its hilarious how the Pistons say we need to tighten up on D ofter giving up 54% team shooting...then the next game they give up 55% shooting...and then we have a suddenly spry and nimble footed Shaq...i mean how do you stop a 360lb(that's a modest weight estimate) on a fast break? answer: you pray he trips
and as for my finals predictions...i say the Heat smackdown the Mavs, 4-1.
I still love the suns and want to see them come back but it looks tough, and either way I think I can comfortably say that the pistons will probably lose to the heat and whoever they face in the West is going to be tired in comparison so this years finals are going to be real grindy.
