[QUOTE="midnite_toker22"]

[QUOTE="MoonMarvel"]Did you just call Brady a system QB?Jaysonguy

Matt Cassel threw for 3693 yds, 21 TDs and 11 INTs while completing 63.4% of his passes in that system whenBrady went down.

Carried them to an 11-5 record as well.

Obviously Brady is much better than Cassel, but Belichick's system is a huge part of his success.

Cassel completed 55% of his passes, had 2924 yds and 16 TDs to 16 INTs last year with the Cheifs.

Boy, it's almost like going from a Superbowl contender to one of the 3 worst teams in the league makes your numbers go down

Exactly, the Patriots are a Superbowl contender with or without Brady.

The Colts without Manning, not so much.

Uh, no. Without Brady they are not a SB contender. Did they make the playoffs in Brady's absence? I forgot....

Ok, but that was odd. They went 11-5...they should have been in the playoffs.

I dont think anyone expected Matt Cassell to lead the Patriots to the SB if they had gotten in.

Patriots are not a SB team without Brady.

Just like the Colts are not a SB team without Manning.

I hate everything from Boston, but it would be foolish to say that any bum can lead the Patriots to the SB.

Point was without Brady they still should have made the playoffs. But a Manningless Colts has zero chance.

Is Matt Cassell a complete waste or what? He didn't do that bad in KC with hardly anything to work with. Jim Sorgi and Chris Painter are good enough to start on other teams? Yeah...

Neither, I would prefer to have Drew Brees as my starting QB on my team.

Matt Cassel is good, just because he was a backup doesnt mean he is forever going to be garbage.

It speaks to volume how well the Patriots build their offense compared to the Colts, however. The ultimate offense is one you can plug anyone in and have success, something the Patriots offense seems to be to a degree.

The Colts offense seems to be tailored and made for Peyton Manning, if he is gone, so is the offense. However, the Patriots do not win those 3 Super Bowls or go 18-1 in 2007 without Tom Brady, so don't poo poo on him either.

Leave it at both being great at one they do, both excel in their own right, and both will be HOF'ers.

Tough call. They both have great careers, and not to mention they were equally as funny on SNL.

I'll go with Manning even though he beat my Bears in one of the most boring Super Bowls to date.
