The Redskins are going to kill the iggles.
This is not the hopefulness of a fan, it's simply the way it is going to be.

@Chutebox: Not sure why you even ran a play in the first place... just kick the FG. Two dumb ass mistakes by both sides at the end of the half.

I don't mind running the play. Quick back shoulder to Garcon since he's been catching everything. But seriously. Kirk had a bet for halftime score and had the under. No way he came out of that timeout thinking they had to kneel it.
Thank you Kirk Cousins for proving me wrong.
Now onto Colt McCoy smashing the Cowgirls.
Friend please, Kellen Moore will gape you bad.
@Seabas989: and prove you wrong he did!
Why didn't you ask me? I would have told you.
Ah, well. All is forgiven.
HTTR!
@Seabas989: The "Kirk Cousins is just a guy" rap is getting on my nerves and it seems a lot of {actual} guys are basing their dreary predictions solely on him and his mere nine starts for an abortion of a team.
Don't buy the anti-hype. The Skins are just a big, slow-moving target for those on internet forums and lazy journalists who thrive on easy, obvious prey.
Don't be surprised if the Redskins hang around all year and end up playing meaningful games in December. I'm not saying playoffs, but I am saying prepare for real football to be played in D.C. this year.
Just a gentle reminder. The Internet tends to be a place where the voice of reason is lost in the din.
I'm just relieved that the Giants won't be in the playoffs. for a lot of the season things were playing out eerily similar to 2007 and 2011.
Cowboys fucked up by not signing Murray? Good joke. Obviously fucked up by releasing the GOAT WEEDEN!
Oh god, please tell me someone else saw that New England **** up that overtime coin flip against the Jets and opt to kick instead of receive and lost the game on the first drive, hahahaha, dumbass, this next most iconic misspeak to end the year on after the Steve Harvey Miss Universe winner announcement mix-up.
Sorry for posting here, where the effing hell is the main 2015 NFL season thread? Not in sticky? Fucking lame NCAA football thread is sticky instead?

Receiving the ball in OT is common sense, lol.
This is the main 2015 NFL season thread. Nobody wanted to make the thread and the TC didn't edit the title. This became that thread.
Belichick is claiming it was his call to defer in OT but i'm not convinced he isn't just attempting to deflect blame. Slater was obviously confused when he realized that the Jets were going to receive the kickoff, and unlike what I believe is the only other time a team has deferred in OT (Patriots vs. Broncos in 2013) the wind was barely a factor today. It would also make sense seeing as Slater is used to deferring as Belichick always defers when he wins the opening coin toss.

It wasn't a mix up. Bill said he wanted to kick it.

Not how it looked to me...
...but if what you say is true maybe their contention was they wanted to choose which direction they wanted to face.
@Chutebox: I think you're right, it seems upon watching it again that they wanted to kick they just wanted it to be kicked the other direction. Like the announcer said they often decide to kick on OT when they get a choice to.
The clock operator needs to fucking pay attention during this Lions/Bears game.
First they let 3 seconds roll off the clock when the Lions called a time-out. Then they tried to END the second quarter by not stopping the clock when the Lions were calling their second timeout.
The Lions got the ball back with 11 seconds left at mid-field with 3 timeouts on hand. You need to be prepared to stop that clock after each play Jesus...
Bears/Lions game has been pretty fun even if it is meaningless.
Both teams are putting on a show now in this second half.
Patriots just look like they're out of gas, it was one of my fears when I saw we had a week 4 bye but today was just really concerning. Injuries, especially on the o-line, probably had something to do with it but the defense looked bad for the second straight week, especially on 3rd down. Hard to be hopeful going into the playoffs, but maybe a bye week is what we need.
@Seabas989: I mean that dude does own the dickskins so yeah I would imagine.
TOP 5 PICK YEAAAAAAAAAAH!
So at the end of the season my Lions end up picking 16th and Stafford ends up being one of the best QB's throughout the second half of the season (and his passer rating FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON is better than Rodgers). What a bizarre season.
Still really interested to see where this team is at next year. I honestly hope we keep both our coordinators. The new GM can go ahead and fire Caldwell, but PLEASE keep around Austin and Cooter. Austin is still a defensive whiz in my mind (he made the defense hold together fairly well in the end despite injuries plaguing the Lions D all season) and Cooter is showing some SERIOUS promise with his turn-around of the offense mid-season.
They definitely got some work to do with this team, but after looking completely hopeless to start the year, they turned around and showed a LOT of potential for a bright future.
Good job Vikings! I think we are seeing a turning point in the NFC North. Green Bay looks really troubled, the Vikings have risen, and both the Lions and Bears could on the rise next year.
@Seabas989:
lol, the Vikings trouble of winning the NFC North is a date with the Seahawks?
No offense, but I can see Packers winning in Washington.
Not with the way both teams have been playing. The Dickskins might honestly be the better team right now.
The Bills D underachieved this season. The penalties and the defensive scheme needs to be addressed. Their coach needs to learn from his mistakes. Injuries were also a problem. The roster can reach extreme levels of talent. They have to complete the rest of the roster starters first and then the depth. They'll draft BPA based on what they need.
