I wouldn't say it did, but I was a Bernie Supporter before I threw my vote away in 2016. Seeing Bernie a weak leader when he lost control of his rally in Seattle struck a nerve in me. He may had some good ideas, but he's easily pushed around. Also, the DNC push for Hillary was very odd. Not to mention that Hillary never bothered to discuss her policies, instead just kept bringing up Trump all the time, and never bothered on visiting the flyover states including the rust belt.

I'd like to think I'm in the middle nowadays. I started out far right. For social issues I started going to the left. I think it's the extreme left that keeps me to the right of the center. Multiple gender crap, and immigration.

not really a good answer to your own question though, can you be more specific on whic

policy

or

ideology (best if the ideology is tied to a direct action you can point to rather than an abstract belief system)

Honest truth the liberal side just cares too much about people that don’t matter. If you aren’t a law abiding, contributing memeber of society, idgaf about you.

we care about those people to.

we tend to not think a person 'doesnt matter' does that cause complication? yes, does it make it hard? yes but as a default we dont put effort into trying to find people who we can say 'dont matter' people on the right actually go out of their way to do that.

I care about those people enough to treat them as people. They're not legal though and they don't deserve the same due process or protection with laws as our citizens though.

I think it might be the democrats views on immigration that drives me the most mad. They don't really give a shit about the immigrants, they just want the Latino vote and they're pandering to it.

@tryit: @n64dd: y’all got it twisted I’m not even just talking about illegal immigrants. If the only law you break is coming here illegally, I don’t got a problem with it if you go out and bust you ass work to make your living and better your life and your families lives in another country.

It’s the free loading degenerates of society that get coddled and protected I can’t stand from the left. I’d rather the government waste money paying salaries of people to catch even just one person abusing welfare and SSD. Idgaf about the people that make their living selling drugs/stealing/robbing/stealing identities/running Ponzi schemes, the people of the white trash and hoodrat culture that just exist and do nothing but bring down the area they live and cause a burden to everyone else. These people don’t matter, their votes don’t matter, and they do nothing to better anything. Yet they are constantly under the wing of the liberal side of the government just wanting more resources, wasting money offering rehabilition for the life style they chose, make a life for themselves on the back of an entire nation through subsidies, assistance, and charity.

I grew up poor, I worked hard to be where I’m at in life. I have well off friends and I have riff raff friends I’ve seen both life styles first hand and know just how problematic the bottom feeding really is. There is no want to change in a lot of these people and I applaud the ones that actually do.

like I said, people on the right literally go out of their way to find people who they can label as 'not important' literally spend time, engery and focus thinking about it.

much of the international law regarding how to handle immigrants comes from our standards of how to treat them, well past standards.

when people come into a country from another country the world watches on how its handled.

and when you start separating families, drugging kids with psychotics and telling them its vitamins then its a problem

Most of what you personally know about immigration numbers is a lie. and that is the problem, your perception of the degree of the problem is not accurate

Policies though i do agree with is hard stance on immigration, military spending and a strong judicial system.

His point is when a liberal talks about socialism, they are thinking something like Sweden, Norway, or the Netherlands where you still have free markets and democratic elections. Conservatives think Venezuela, Cuba, or the USSR where the government runs almost everything.

Oh, you mean THAT Sweden, that tells their natives that they have no culture and enforce enrichment, and give their refugees a pass when they rape young girls? Yeah, that's as how you run a Socialist society in Europe.

Yeah, it's the same socialism as Venezuela

If the people of Sweden don't like where things are going, it is well within their power to vote for different politicians.

As someone who lives here? What the hell are you talking about? We even have an official government website advertising our culture. Might wanna pay less attention to Alt-Right Propaganda mate.

And this rape garbage needs to end... seriously. People repeating the same debunked garbage is getting old by now. The issue is that sweden is a bit too liberal with the usage of the word rape. Actual rape has been static for well over a decade now.

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/crime-sweden-rape-capital-europe/

An important part of critical thinking, is to ask why things are the way they are, not just look for correlations to build/support a narrative.

Edit: Don't get me wrong though, the immigration is still an issue, but NOT for the reasons you or most fear mongers claim.

An important part of critical thinking, is to ask why things are the way they are, not just look for correlations to build/support a narrative.

Edit: Don't get me wrong though, the immigration is still an issue, but NOT for the reasons you or most fear mongers claim.

On these boards, people like to dip into other countries politics without living there. It's fun.

As someone who lives here? What the hell are you talking about? We even have an official government website advertising our culture. Might wanna pay less attention to Alt-Right Propaganda mate.

Indeed it is, as disingenous as it is.

On a more serious note. I have been to the US, but I have never lived there, furthermore, I have only been to certain parts, and ultimately hardly know how it is like living there. My only sources are secondary from various US citizens I know. Which is NOT enough to form a proper opinion.

It is why I am not entirely sure, that what works for sweden would work for the US. Since there may be other factors that would lead to a different result. I will still argue for them though, because this is Politics, not US politics ;)

What single thought, policy or ideology made you conservative?

I am not a republican I am a moderate, but I vote and support the Republicans because I know my vote counts there.

Policies though i do agree with is hard stance on immigration, military spending and a strong judicial system.

Moderate what? Seems to be an evasive answer. And you seem pretty far right.

Moderate Independent leaning Republican, but that is only because the Democrats have moved far left under Obama and Hillary

And you may see my views as "far-right" but that is only because you have moved so far left that not even ANTIFA is that far.

Then I suggest you learn what far left really means because the US is far from that. It's a more moderate form of the left.

  1. In what ways are Obama and Hillary Far Left? Hillary and Obama would be considered centrists, in many parts of western europe.
  2. Exactly how could LBJ be a described using the terms far left? The guys is clearly centrist. Which should be pretty evident with his disagreements with us liberals on this board as well.

In fact, since you love using the term. Definte exactly what you mean by Far Left. Because you have been calling a lot of centrists "Far Left".

Well, for one despite what you may think of the ACA it´s a pretty far-left view, and unless you talk about European centrist views, that is by no means a centrist in American politics.

Also, a centrist is not someone who share only democratic views.

And LJS is clearly far-left, there is nothing Republicans can ever do that would make him/her happy.

See this is why you cannot be taken seriously. Anyone that disagrees with you is considered far left. I am a moderate democrat. Period. Just because you are a far right trumpette masquerading as independent doesn't change that.

Today's Republican party is deplorable. It's all about making the wealthy base richer at the expense of the rest of the country. No that does NOT make me happy. The deck should NOT be politically stacked against anyone not born with a silver spoon.

Unlike you in the past I've voted for more than one party.

When you constantly show yourself to have far-left democratic views, then no you are not a "moderate democrat"

And this post by you just confirms that. It´s like you took the words "you are either with us or against us" to heart a

This just in. Ideas from the Heritage Foundation are now "pretty far-left".

The democrats are centrist. What the hell do you think Bill Clinton's entire campaign was about?

The republicans don't do much for him since they are insane. LJS has criticized the liberal policies of sweden in the past if I remember correctly. He has disagreed with my left wing views, and so on. Hardly passes as Far Left. For Far Left, look at the Soviet Union or China. Sweden is Left Wing, and Democrats are centrist.

Which of LJs views are far left?

Which views are not?

For the ACA, for open borders with no control, for DACA expansion etc. etc. etc. etc.
