President Trump's First 100 Days

In all seriousness - what are your thoughts so far on Trump's first 100 days? The reason the 100 days is so important is because it's when a President generally is at his most powerful and able to rally Congress due to high approval ratings but... not so much for Trump.

I'm still in wait-and-see mode. I like some of his actions so far, but am hoping for more.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised, at the performance of the establishment republicans in congress. Their performance so far has just confirmed my belief that one of the biggest problems this country faces is the political class that has run this country for the last few decades. They talk a good game, but at the end of the day, their priority is maintaining their power, be they republican or democrat.

I mean, failed spectacularly with all his campaign promises, but hasn't gotten us all blown up (yet).

He is more or less right on track I think. If you follow the notion that the less he does the better it is for US.

Obviously Trump's hard at work at this twitter account and golf games.... I mean, that's what a president is suppose to do, right?

I expected all of this to happen, it's just reality setting into Trump's administration. Voting in a guy that was never a politician might've sounded like a good idea at the time but when you get down to it, knowledge of how the system works is crucial to success. Especially considering the fact that Trump wants to work within the confines of the system that he knows nothing about.

Healthcare failed when they controlled every facet of government, so it's pretty hilarious to have seen that fail. I'd give it time though, they're regrouping to push through another round of healthcare to strip poor and sick people of coverage and I'm sure we'll see another bout of tax cuts get through for the upper 1%. He's only got executive orders under his belt and his signature push for a travel ban is still hung up in court (for good measure).

I'd like to see what the demeanor of the 'white working class' will be after 4 years of cuts on their healthcare, no improvement to the coal industry, and to see their local subsidies stripped at the state/county level. They're in for a rude awakening.

Trump is also planning to release his plan on tax reform in a few days.

Based on his previous failed endeavors, it's going to be simultaneously bad and horrifying.

If it's anything like his proposal during the election it's going to blow a hole in our deficit. It would be delightful watching the party of 'fiscal' responsibility justify it. The only way to balance the books is take the entire budget to the chopping block, but there's no way they would touch entitlement programs due to outrage.

The end result will just be a ballooning deficit.

100 Days - Abysmal.

Have you seen what they've tried to accomplish so, both in terms of bills provided and proposals floated?

This is really the best possible outcome at this point.

Hopefully his administration does nothing more than let the people have a living example of the types of avarice people we will not let attain office again.

I think he's sucked so far....and I doubt that will change.

Honestly, though, anyone with an ounce of common sense saw this disaster coming from a mile away. This is exactly why most Americans did not vote for him.

Having nothing done seems like the better option. Just wait for tax reform though!

Still waiting to see what he's going to do. He's basically doing a "The Apprentice" except this time it's "The President".

Not as bad as I was expecting, but that's only because he is a blundering do-nothing president, and a terrible leader.

So I don't mean that "in a good way".

But he has done some things that will take some time to show just how much damage they will do, so we will need to see what comes of it.

The first 100 days of Trump haven't beem bad because he's still riding Obama's strong economy.

Killed TTP, which was a nearly heroic thing to do, but then went full neo-con.

He's doing an amazing job. I hope we amend the constitution so he can run for 3 terms.

Well he did a 180 on China being a currency manipulator and seems to be willing to let them get away with even more in the future.

He couldn't repeal and replace Obamacare (thank God)

Mexico won't be paying for any wall.

Not only did he not drain the swamp but added to it.

Certainly not so much winning that my head is spinning.

Do his supporters even care? I imagine as long as they feel he is sticking it to the Mexicans and Muslims somehow they got what they wanted. So when are these manufacturing jobs coming back?

He is not doing a very good job on what his big cases. Obama care is still there. But hey things can change. Only been 100 days out of 4 years.

I wouldn't say he's doing good or bad but at least he's better then Hillary however.

It pains me, but I have to agree; Trump is too inept to be the worst. Nixon and Reagan were far worse, Bush Jr. for sure, hell you could even argue Bill Clinton has done more damage (though good luck with that). And, historically, we have had far far far crappier presidents than any of those guys.

To be the worst, would actually have to be capable of something. Like a financial crisis, a fake war (or two), bailing out huge companies, excessive abuses of power, etc..

It's still early, though, give the man some time! Thus far Trump is going to go down as the, I don't know...most pointless president? Worst picked? Winner of the "What were we thinking?" award?
