I honestly think he is pulling a Ross Perot and helping Trump if he actually does run. What do you all think?

Kanye knows how to run a successful business, so that already makes him more qualified than your current president.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

Trump gonna win.

The number of idiots that will vote for Kanye simply because he is Kanye will come from the democrat side.

Meanwhile Kanye is probably thinking:

"Money? Check. Fame? Check. Power? Hmmm could use more power. AND WTF KIM YOU'RE A BILLIONAIRE AND I"M NOT! F*** YOU I'M gonna be PREZIDENT!"

Oh, and lest you all forget....

@mrbojangles25: Liberals hate Kanye though. He might not even qualify to get on the ballet, I also doubt he has the money to last long.

Look at those pictures, that alone turns the left off of him, he might get more conservatives.

He's more mentally unstable than Trump. Therefore he has a good chance.

Nah, solidarity is the GOP's greatest strength. If you vote once GOP, you're probably always voting GOP.

And I wouldn't say Kanye is necessarily liberal or conservative or whatever. He is a star, and that will attract idiots people that like that sort of thing. The problem is, if you like celebrities and are Republican, you'll still vote Republican. If you like celebrities and are democrat, you just might write in Kanye.

I wish we had someone other than Biden, and I wish we didn't have Trump. Ideally we'd have two competent candidates. But at this point anything other than Biden, Biden, Biden is a distraction. I honestly would not put it past Trump to have asked Kanye to enter the race just to steal votes.

He won't run. He is releasing a new album soon also. Anyway he if he actually ran he would hurt trump and get under 1% of the vote. No one wants to vote for a third party this year because they are desparate to get rid of trump.

I actually see Kanye West the O.J Simpson cause he does get so much attention but him running for President? I am still surprised Kayne isn't voting for Trump...Probably just a publicity stunt at this point but then again, he's got an album coming soon, gotta promote whatever it takes :P

He'll most likely be a write-in candidate since it's already too late for him to file in many states including his own.

@thegreatchomp: ‘I voted GOP in 2004 and 2008. Will never again.’

I call BS. You voted for McCain and Romney? I find it hard to believe that someone would go that backwards in their political leaning and support higher taxes and more government. Assuming you understood what a conservative stands for or you were an uninformed voter.

Did you hit your head?

Someone is ate up with Xabiss, I can personally care less how anyone votes that is there right. Again you are the one that came out and attacked me with your statement. Heck I didn't vote for Trump and will not this time. I have voted 3rd party last election and will vote 3rd party this election. Both parties right now don't deserve any votes for how they are acting.

It will be interesting to see how genuine he is about trying to run. We will see soon enough.

Every single democrat I know absolutely hates Kanye. This will hurt Trump, he's basically a black tocken. The small minority support Trump has will go over to Kanye. Not even Sevenizz will vote for him, of course he's black so he won't anyhow.

He'd still be more likely to hurt Biden than Trump.

Trump supporters that don't want Biden to be president will still vote for Trump no matter how much they may like Kanye.

People that hate Trump but aren't all in with Biden are more likely to vote against Trump than for Biden. Voting against Trump most likely means a Biden vote, but it's not guaranteed and you may have a few do a protest vote for Kanye if they don't just stay at home altogether. You still have to factor in the people that hate Trump with a passion but believe Tara Reade and can't stomach voting for either one of them.

But who knows, maybe Kanye could end up being the first third-party candidate since George Wallace to earn any electoral votes (probably from Illinois because of Chicago). Or, he could win the whole thing and we end up with Kim Kardashian as the First Lady.

People are not going to risk voting for any third parties this year even if kanye decided to run.. Biden will win the vast majority of people that voted for third parties in 2016. About 54% percent of the electorate voted for hilary clinton and third parties in 2016. I wouldn't be shocked if biden got above that number in november at this point because of trump losing some of his support from 2016 while everyone else unites behind biden.

@Sevenizz: I was a registered Republican until 2012. I voted for Bush/McCain/Romney.

Why is it hard to imagine someones political ideologies would change over time?

I still have some conservative leanings, especially with money and taxes. I dont think I should have to support all the southern trailer trash with their welfare.

What really pushed me to the center-left was the Republican's 1950s approach to civil rights.

BTW he just said a few months back he was going to vote for Trump. He seems chummy with him too typically.

If this is real, it's a ploy to siphon votes away from Biden from young and black votes lol.

@comp_atkins said:

If he gets in the ballot that would increase the chances of the current guy winning. Which I assume is the goal if this isn't just trolling.

In some states but it will be pointless. He's not going to get the signatures and support required to get ballot access in the states he can still run in. No one is going to support what is literally a vanity run in this election. Anyway he is probably using this annoucement to promote his upcoming album god country.

Unfortunately the trump fanboys/girls don't see the irony when they make those statements. It's like they don't actually pay attention to their leader.

He's not going to qualify for the ballot in any state. Its a stunt for his new album. He's past the deadline in 13 states and hasnt even officially registered.

Let's play a guessing game on who his running mate will be!
