As someone that thinks Trump is the absolute worst president in history, I’m surprised you are so willing to give him control of all of the guns. That’s pretty much what you would be agreeing to if we disarm the entire civilian population and only let the government control the guns.

What do you think would have happened to that woman if she didn’t have her gun to protect herself from those five men? Would have it only been a robbery, or would they have sexually assaulted or even killed her? She won’t have to find out since she was armed when they approached her, and as far as I’m concerned I’m totally okay with that.

An easier rebuttal to that claim is to just point out that tyrants want land and subjects to rule over. Blowing up everything outside of Washington, DC to put down an armed rebellion after the government decided to suspend the Constitution is not in their best interests and Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan showed how well an organized insurgency can hold up against a superior military force.

Those insurgencies need military grade equipment.

We buried soldiers in Iraq (or what was left of them after we picked up their exploded remains) that were killed with bombs made from stuff you can buy at Lowe's. Don't underestimate the determination of an insurgency that believes they are in the right.

Give those people in Hong Kong easy access to some good weapons and a guarantee they will put up a damn good fight for what believe is right.
