I can see this game selling like 100 copies, because no one wants to give it a chance.

I doubt most would like it anyway... point and click games aren't exactly as exciting as Killzone or Call of Duty, but neither is a book.

I guess everyone's just getting dumber.

Syberia, Fahrenheit, Dreamfall, Myst - all great adventure games.

I think it looks to have perfected, and built upon what made Indigo Prophecy one of the best games of last generation. Heavy Rain is currently my most anticipated title.

remember killer 7? that game was really good, your character was on a set path you choose direction and could aim. took the walking out of the game, yeah its a glitchy game, but it had a unique idea. heavy rain looks a little too unique for a lot of people.

killer 7 gave me a headache, wasn't good imo but i know plenty people who liked it so i dont knock it.

as for hr, i wish i kept my ps3 because this game fell under my radar until e3 popped that b*tch back in my head. Indigo Prophecy was one of my favorite games, im into that kinda story driven environmental sh*t like MGS. Farenheit is still on my pc and Im hoping that if all goes the same for HR then ill have that on my pc soon as well. Not trying to drive any rumors or be unhappy with the fact i wont really play it, but just a thought about how cool it would be to play this minus the ps3 problem lol.

Also my question is, you think we get to inpregnant the new girl before or after we feel perverted watching her in the shower. The people who played Farenheit will get it

I'm personally very excited. It looks like a new/old school adventure game and God knows, we don't have very many adventure games anymore, if any at all. i love it. It looks incredibly immersive, and I'm all for that. I'll take this over yet another frantic fps any day.

I love the look of Heavy Rain's gameplay. Looks very similar to Indigo Prophecy. It's more from the atmosphere and story than action packed gameplay. That's why i loved Indigo and why i'm super excited for Heavy Rain.

It was the narrative story telling, ask hazelnutman.

Have you tried MGS, if you don't like that story than your crazy. I actually like MGS4 a lot because it had a lot of cinematics, prob. because I love the story and the action in them are awesome.

I loved Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, but, the story was so full of twists and turns that I needed to play the older versions before I got anything... This is why I will be picking up the essential collection before I play the game again.

to add to this, the movement button is mapped like this so when they suddenly change the camera you continue walking/running in the desired direction, it doesn't sound like much but if you have played dmc4 you would understand that it is a good idea.

I played through Indego Prophesy and really enjoyed it, I expect heavy rain to be a pretty similar experiance without all the sci-fi BS. The best part of IP was the first half of the game before the sci-fi stuff started getting thrown in. I thought the quick time events worked pretty well with the game. anyway I'll be picking up Heavy Rain since I really want to support these types of unique games.

Okay so I just recently read and watched 1up's preview for Heavy Rain. Seems really story driven, which is great, but it also seems as if they revealed what the gameplay will be like. It is all quicktime events so far, which is cool for certain segments of a game, but I do not know if I could play a whole game only doing that. It may feel as if I am not truly in control, but rather watching a movie that I can interact with from time to time.

Of course, this is not officially all the gameplay, or maybe it is, as it is too early to tell. Anyway, what would you think if the gameplay was only quicktime events?

JCMac120
I love games that are story driven( uncharted, final fantasy, valkyria chronicles ) and personally wouldn't mind if it were mostly quick time events. I think that it makes you feel like your really in the fight, and because if you miss a button press and the character dies, it can stimulate your adrenaline.
