Version 2.00 is a Disaster... for me at least

I was originally really excited about Firmware 2.00 and when I came home today and downloaded it, everything screwed up! Now its not reading discs and PSN isn't loading up (as in other topics), but the Internet on it is fine... so now I'm formatting to factory condition so I don't have to wait till tomorrow for the supposed fix for 2.0 (2.1). I suppose my hard drive needed some space anyway but this was all just one big disaster, so my question is, who else was disappointed and/or screwed over with 2.00?

I don't ever have problems with these updates and I usually get them the day they come out but this one just did me in for some reason.... well i guess it should be done reformatting by now its been about 3 hours.TrialOfHatred

you made a huge mistake formatting it. your ps3 doesnt have any problems. PSN was slow just because of Uncharted. and not reading discs is a hardware issue. hopefully u didnt lose much.

I think i had a similar problem, I just couldnt get to the psn store.
