Soul Calibur IV is more of a button mashing fighting game. Tekken on the other hand requires high level of skills to pull off combo. This is why I love Tekken so Tekken for me even though I'm going to preorder both of these games. So in the end I win.

When you get Soul Calibur IV, challenge me. You do your..."button mash" and I'll beat you using very few buttons.
However, Tekken doesn't allow you to buttonmash, but it doesn't allow you to use chain desired combos without offering your lifetime for the games.
I just want to see how they fit Vader into the story line as far as why he is in Soul Calibur. I love tie-ins and cross overs..this one should be interesting.

Challenge accepted. May I also request a Tekken match with you kind sir?:)
I prefer Tekken, but I also like SC... so I'll probably get both and get my ass kicked as I'm not good at fighters any more. It's been ages since my last fighter (Tekken 4)

Heavens no.:P
I'm not going to buy Tekken just to lose to you!
Tekken > Soul Calibur. Tekken is the true king of iron fist, soul calibur is for like nooblys. zosoph33r
Only if you admit Metroid is for "nooblys". ;)
I was finally able to play Tekken 6 at the arcades and I was very impressed. I picked Lei first and he's as fun as ever to play as. Apparently he got a complete overhaul in his movelist. I picked Yoshimitsu next because I was eager to mess around with his new dual sword fighting style. I was tring to figure out how to do that one side-throw where he multiplies into two yoshimitsu's but I couldn't figure it out. Does anyone here know the command for that move?EnergyAbsorber
How would we know when it's not even out in the U.S.?
Haven't set foot on the Arcades for like 8 years now... I'm officially an old dude :?GreenGoblin2099
Arcades are pretty much dead anyways.. There is not near as many arcades as there were back in the day.
SC4 for me i do enjoy tekken games but the weapon master mode that is usually in the SC games is more fun that the story in tekken.
i will get both but if i had to choose SC4.
dunno what to get it for though playing as vader would be awesome but so would playing through as Yoda :P
anyone who thinks Tekken requires more skill, or is for nubz obviously never took the time to learn how to play Soul Calibur properly. nuff said. SC4 ftw!
One has Darth Vader, the other does NOT have Darth Vader. This really is a no brainer. . .Raykuza
