No. I would be suprised if they did. I still remember in april when they said a few days to get it back up and running and it took a month and still not everything is up. Them saying the end of the month to get the store back up to me means maybe next week.
Considering Lulzsec (hacker group that are currently toying with PBS's website, and successfully attacked Sony's music site and Japanese PS website) said they are planning something big directed at Sony tomorrow/today I imagine the store is going to get delayed again..
PS Store will be back at like 9 EST.....believe it...theyll torture us ALLLLLLLL DAY...........and then at like 11 o clock or something itll finallly be available everywhere.......(this is not true......i cant prove it......its just a hunch/joke from how they did playstation networks restoration sorry if i offended anyone or got their hopes up I KNOW HOW MUCH PS Store means to you folks)
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing! I keep checking the Playstation Blog and other sources for any updates. But it really seems unlikely that Sony is going to bring back the store within the next 36 hours, specially without giving us a heads up that they will. I really hope I am wrong and they do just bring the system up by tomorrow, but I am no longer holding my breath for it.
honestly, until this passed week ive been completely patient and positive and loyal since april 20 when the system went down, but this week i get the feeling ps store is not coming back online by the 31st. im sure if it was sony would have made more fuss about the return, the only thing theyve said is the welcome package games. they are claiming by end of the month of may, i will give it til tomorow the 31st, if its not back up ive completely lost interest
Why worry. It will be back when it's back. The Playstation Store is not essential to your gaming. However be aware the Playstation network will go down for a while, whilst the Playstation Store is restored.
I play games nothing more. Whilst the Sony network outage was annoying, I could still play games. Just not online!
really, if it wasn't for the free games I probably wouldn't care that much, though I'm probably going to get alpha mission 2 and gravity crash when it comes back up. I'm still trying to figure out which free games to get, so far all I'm sure of is infamous.
It's going to go back up sometime during game 1 of the NBA finals (go Mavs) just to f me over. I will check right before the game starts, only to be disappointed, and after the game go on this forum to see that it has already been up for a few hours. I really don't care though if it is up tomorrow or within a couple of days.
Maybe im being too hopeful here, but what im praying for, is the reason they havn't spoke about the store in like a week is because right at the end of the month they will spring it on us and say HEY ITS BACK UP. But im prolly kidding myself.
If they miss the May deadline, I don't expect it to be up until E3. Then they can make some sort of announcement during the press conference and spin it like a grand reopening and get applause from game press.
Dont count on it, idk why they even bothered giving themselves a dealine of May 31st as they just look like fools if its not up. At the time they probably wanted to please people and they gave them this datebut in actuality they should be cautious and not rush anything. Im not expecting it to be up

i think thats one reason for the secrecy. if they announce a specific time in advance, everybody will rush in and start downloading their free games at once. just opening it sometime this week with no fanfare will atleast limit the rush to the relatively few gamers that scour the internet for updates.
