So 2014, when will the Playstation 4 be available?

Decided to NOT pre-order as I was in no rush and money was still a little tight, since I am not really massively into gaming anymore like I use to be when I was younger, getting the console for Christmas or even on the day of release, was less of an issue. Now we are in 2014 however, they still seem to be completely sold out and I was wondering if any of you guys know when they are coming back in stock, or when you think they will be in good supply? I am in the UK, if this helps at all. Thanks guys.

I would guess by April you should see more in stock. They better plan for Spring, considering that's when a few of the bigger games start releasing.

As late as April, really? I think I may as well wait till Next Christmas in the hopes they come down in price. I was going to to do an impulse buy this month, but the further I wait the less I will really want it.

I live in Murray Ky and when I went to Walmart, they were in stock and I got my FA this morning. So I bought one....

That would be my guess as to when you'd see a consistent stock in major retailers. I'm thinking back to when I bought my first Xbox 360 after launch. It was right around April that I was able to walk in Target and pick one up off the shelf. That was 7 years ago though. Things might be different this time around, who knows?

@SgtSilock: I wouldn't expect a price drop in 2014.

Amazon will have ps4s for order on January 16th, not sure how many they will have though

I would say around March to April time frame. Sony's stocking up for the Japanese PS4 launch next month.

There are quite a lot of overpriced bundles but the only thing good one I can see is the PS4 + Lego Marval heros for £387.00 from shopto.

I had luck in December watching one of the availability tracker sites. Stock popped up in Walmart. Checked my local stores and there it was. Off I went to find crates full behind the counter. In and out in 10 minutes with no fuss.

You're not going to find it online vs local until the demand dies down. Similar amount of stock be competed for by the whole world vs just you and your neighborhood.

Amazon keeps listing them for a few minutes at a time. I managed to luck up and order it Friday night. They must have a large stock because it original said an expected ship date of the 21st but by the time I got home it was already in the "shipping soon" stage.

@SgtSilock: I would say keep an eye on Newegg. They are usually on point with keeping up with availability and they ship their items in a much more secure package. Plus shipping is usually free.

You're going to have to wait longer than Xmas for a price drop. It's already at a low price, and it's selling very very well. No price drop. Might see one for the One though.

:S mate just go down to your nearest asda or tesco in stock every week, there is no shortage now, they at least get a shipment in every 4days

I know you said you live in the UK, but I'm in the US and I'm sure there are folks here wondering the same thing. I live near Memphis, TN and I called three local Wal Marts to find out just what you're wondering. One of them had 4 in stock, another had none available but the clerk on the phone told me to check back in the morning because she thought more would be stocked, and the final one still had the one PS4 in stock I saw a week earlier.

PS4 is available everywhere now, asda.com website selling them, in stroe at tesco selling them, if you can't find any then the only place you must of been is game. so they are not completely sold out, i could get you one now if you wanted

Update from Tampa: I went to a Walmart, ToysR'Us, and Target in northern metro-Tampa area. No PS4s in stock still.

Ive had good luck will Walmart's online store. they seem to be available for a few hours every day before they sell out (at least in canada) so I would just check that out!

I say probably March or April at the least. Everywhere I called is sold and have never seen any in stores.

My brother in law kept calling stores and asking them when they were getting more. He got one before Xmas without a preorder.
