Playstation Academy

I was just thinking the other day of how cool it would be if Sony came out with their answer to the Super Smash Brother series.

And the name that I thought of was Playstation Academy. lol Idk why.

But yea. It would be similar i guess to the Super Smash games justw ith familiar sony characters and maybe some 3rd party characters.

i mean u can just do "close eyes and pick" a toon from FF series, also one of the felt guys from LBP, maybe Rikimaru from tenchu, meh there is a ton.

I don't know about the title, but the concept and idea to a game like this has been discussed many times before. I, for one, posted a blog about it and it fell on deaf ears.

I would like to see a game like this done for the PS3, but with a character roster well thought out, not with the suggestions I've been reading in this thread. Characters from most (if not all) exclusive Playstation games would be good, not just the popular ones almost everyone knows about and feel are the 'better' games.

Another thing, as good as the idea is, Smash Bros. is just one game. I love the series myself, but I believe the only reason we keep coming back to "why doesn't PS3 make their own Smash Bros." is because many of us see how great a game the new Smash Bros. is shaping up for the Wii. Once the game is released, it'll only be a matter of time before all the hype dies down for it. It happened to Halo 3, it'll happen to Smash Bros. Brawl. It'll probably be a good game but it'll still just be one game.

If Sony makes a game like Smash Bros. for the PS3 (with there own exclusive characters) yeah, I'll try it. If they don't, then oh well. Makes no difference to me.
