MGS Rising Boxart

Now just imagine that it's shorter, fatter and has the PS3 logo and you've got the version you're probably going to buy. Anyway, I wonder what he's holding... looks like a cybernetic spinal chord or something.

LOL definitel the version I will be buying :P. Nice box art though and I really hope this game can be unique but still keep the MGS feel somewhat.

I don't see how you can hate this boxart if you played the games. I mean its the frikkin guy. nothing is innacurate and it looks pretty good. Lol people just want to hate this because its multiplat and not a continuation of snake :P. I wish it was exclusive but I am going to love it anyway I am sure. We will see, as it is sure to be much different then previous MGS's.

Im buying the PS3 version for sure, anyways the boxart looks pretty cool, and yes that does look like a spinal cord :lol: I bet its not the official boxart, normally boxarts go through many changes, I bet we will see something different when the game actually comes out.

Compared to the other MGS boxarts, this one is pretty elaborate.

Well, there it is. I'm not so sure it'll do much to assuage the World Legion o' Raiden Haters Society Association, L.L.C. (not that anything could). Other than that, who on earth knows anything about this game?

What happened to the awesome Metal Gear art that graced MGS2? When was it decided that after MGS3 it was all going to be CG-style box art ala Snake's wrinkly old grey face on the MGS4 box, and now this Killer Instinct inspired box art that makes raiden look like Fulgore?

Anyways, I'm unfortunately losing interest in the series, which is really sad to say, but they're really pushing it. I mean Metal Gear Arcade? Yeah, my wallet's closed.

I thought I heard in SW that MGS Rising was gonna be an exclusive.

Looks like a dumb over the top anime show rather then Metal Gear. Also I cant tell if thats a guitar on his back, a sword, a synthesizer or what.

I think he got it mixed up. Volgin was talking about Raidenovich Raikov "I know him more than anyone" when he was "checking for authenticity via crotch grab" on Snake posing as him. It was a Raiden parody, but it was not Raiden:P

It's fine by me.

But then again, I'm not really a box art connoisseur. As long as the game is boxed and that box has a picture on it, i'm satisfied, lol.

I dont think it will be final but I cant wait for it regardless. Wish it was called Metal Gear Rising rather than Metal Gear Solid Rising.

I hope they aren't gonna do a Resident Evil 4/5 move on us and add action kicks, roundhouses, over the top punches and the collection of diamonds and other silly stuff. They better keep the game with the MGS feel that made the game popular.

Here's what a proper Metal Gear box looks like. That's pure art and something MGS games have always been known for. That MGR box art, though, is goddamn awful.
