mgs 4- is it ok for a mature 12 year old?

It's alright, just the bosses are a bit weird in a not-good way. And you probably should skip Drebins calls following the fights. They're quite graphic.GenTom

I would say no. I would'nt let anyone below 16 or so play it.

There are plenty of violence and blood, suggested nudity, implied sex scenes ect ect. Most of the people who says it's ok for someone in that age to play it, are probably not that old themselves. ;)

I think its ok for a 12 year old. i got into metal gear 4 years ago when i was 11. and who cares if there's strong language here and there nothing kids today haven't heard

Okay, I'll respond: rated M games are NOT for your age group. See this is the problem right here is underage kids who can't wait their turn and decide to play something that was made for an ADULT and not a TEENAGER. My suggestion is to find cool game that are rated E. If anybody tries to argue this point see item: the teenagers who decided to act on their GTA IV fantasies and decided to jack cars and injure civilians. Okay?!

Anybody should be able to play a game no matter what rating it is. Cuz seriously, if the game is awesome, y not play it. Also there's not a lot of cool shooter type E-rated games out there. Also the teens who seriously thought they can bring GTA alive are freakin idiots. Come on! How dumb do u have to be to do something like that.

Overall, what im saying is, if ur kid likes the game and enjoys it then let them play it. Its their choice if they let the game corrupt them or not. I mean I've been playing M rated games at a young age, and I would say I enjoy killing and I'm not actually gonna go out and kill someone except a bird or a deer but that's when Im going hunting. That's another example, if a kid can go hunting at 12, y not let him play a M rated game?

I played the complete mgs franchise. 1998 when the first part came out I was 9 years old! I enjoyed that game so much it still warms my heart when I played through the nostalgic parts in MGS4. I dont recall nightmares of any sort or ever having felt inspired to go carjacking or shooting up my block.

If you said a 12 yr old then I would I have said just give it a try. But because you said MATURE 12 yr old I recommend it highly. Its the best game out right now.

Im not playing wrong. I know there are some sex parts. But its not like full on and from what doberman said, it sounds like the whole game is built around sex which it isn't. The game is pretty much is the story of Snake.
