Is it worth buying PS4 just for playing God of War?

I saw some articles and videos about God of War, seems like the story and scenery are attractive~

While GOW is amazing and perfect in almost every one, my answer is "NO". You should never buy console just to play one game. I can understand people who buy them to play only COD or FIFA, because that's the only game they like, and play them a lot. But, GOW 2018 is only 25 hours long. Which is fine if you already have PS4, but not if you buy 400$ console just to play 25 hours.

Honestly? Nowadays it is super hard to recommend PS4 to PC owners. The only exslusives PS4 has left is Sony's first party and Persona. Yakuza is already on PC. Try to see if Sony's other first party games interst you (like Uncharted, The Last of Us, Shadow of the Colossus, Gravity Rush, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last Guardian, Ratchet and Clank, and Infamous Second Son). If they do interest you, buying GOW is an option.

The bottom line is that you should never buy a console just for one game. And that's coming from me, that always played on Sony's systems.

It's worth getting a PS4 for Bloodborne. Now there's a real game.

Ratchet & Clank is super fun. Horizon Zero Dawn has your awesome story and pretty scenery. God of War has lots of snow.

It will be if you also are interested in picking up other PS4 exclusives like Horizon Zero Dawn, Bloodborne, Persona 5, The Last of Us Remaster(If you haven't played it), Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, and Ratchet & Clank. Also some really good games coming soon like The Shenmue Collection Remaster later this month and Dragon Quest XI in September!

Hey I'm new here, but I'd like to chime in. Yes, getting the PS4 is definitely worth it. God of War is an amazing game. They also have a bundle where you can get all the past games and a custom God of War PS4 (not sure if promo still active). Also, there are a few staples that are definitely worth it like Ratchet & Clank, Shadow of the Colossus, and Horizon Zero Dawn. I've thoroughly enjoyed these games. Hope this helps you make your decision.
