If you could only have ONE...LBP or R2

LBP. I'm a creative person so I know i'll be playing LBP for a long, long time.

But WTH!? If I had 24 hours to live I wouldn't play video games:P

Simple:

If your creative, you will think LBP will be an amazing game.

If your not creative, you will think that LBP will be a waste of time.

I'm guessing your not very creative, which is fine:), but I am which is why I want LBP.

I dont get whats so great about LBP, it looks like a really boring game IMOTheSonOfUgly

I can say it for the other way around....I dont get whats so great about Resistance 2, it looks boring to me...just another typical first person shooter. Actually, a not as good gears of war. I'm a PS3 owner and happy about it, but lets call it as it is..

The whole level creation thing is mainly the hype. The UI seems so simple and intuitive, and it seems so easy to do just about anything. Imagine all the old school 2-D Games you could make, I guarantee that there will be a Super Mario Bros level within days of launch. And its not just recreating old, its just doing whatever your imagination comes up with. And you can do this with a bunch of friends. And with all the new stuff they keep showing us with the ability to make like a rocket launcher etc etc how can you not have fun with the game.

+ they're stuffing the Blu-ray with all the levels they can possibly stuff it with!

+ 4 player co-op

+ Everything about the game is customizable

+ Being able to share your creations with the rest of the world, and playing levels from other people which brings the total number of levels playable to: Unlimited. Therefore the Replayability is entirely there, and if anything this game will have the most replayability out of any game out there.

I hope they do release a demo for the people like you who are on the fence, or don't really understand the magnitude of this game, people who i beleive will be stunned when they play the game, and will go out and buy the game and will strengthen the online community with their imagination.

LBP, easily. I'm pretty much obsessed with it.

I do wanna play me some 8 player co-op in R2 though.

innovation?...ohhh lbp was the first platformer game evvver...ahh. i get it...can't wait for super mario brothers to come out....

oohh i get it now....the level editor.......never seen mods for a video game before...someone should make a mod where one team fights as terrorist and the other fights as counter-terrorist...and the ct's have to defuse a bomb...bet it'll be huge.....

Your question is actually answerable. There is hype for Resistance 2 because it's a sequal to one of the best selling games for Sony so far. As for LBP, I didn't know so many people above 13 like playing as little sack boys. As for levelling designs, I can see the potential. However I'm not the type to sit and think about how to make something I'll actually enjoy playing, and at the same time challenge other players. After all, it's not like the level designing is extremely complex, put a few blocks down, a drawbridge maybe a pit of water and a moving staircase all in order to reach an item. I would get bored after 5 minutes.

Although it may be the best and biggest seller so far, Metal Gear Solid 4 hasn't been the only exclusive popular title on the PS3. Along with Metal Gear Solid 4 and a couple of multiplatformers, Resistance: Fall of Man has been and still is one of the more popular PS3 games to date. That being said, in my opinion Sony has been having a mediocre 2008 up until this E3, where they finally decided to unveil the big titles.
