The 60 GB PS3 was $600 at launch. That is when I got mine. I also have probably 30-40 Blu-rays, like 6-8 PS3 games, a DS3, the Eye camera and like 8+ PSN games.

I've spent about 3 times that on my Xbox 360. I've got a billion 360 games, the HD DVD drive, WiFi adapter, couple controllers, Vision camera, wireless headset, etc...

My Wii is the cheap console. Only have a couple games and that's it.

Well there are plenty of ways to buy ...in a smart and cheaper way. Use ebay or buy them used.

you're right on the launch cost. I actually bought mine in November of '07, and found a launch console for sale brand new 60 gig at $499 / free shipping!
