God of War 3 / God of War Backwards Compatibility

I really want to buy a PS to play these 2 games, but with PS5 due for release next year, I'm thinking of waiting. My only concern is - do you guys think God of War 3 and the latest God of War will be playable on PS5? As in, will I be able to buy PS4 CD's for these games and be able to run them on PS5? Same question goes for The Last of Us games.

Yes. It has been confirmed that the PS5 will play PS4 games.

I am in the same boat, currently just playing Xbox 360 and PS3 as I have just recently got back into gaming, I was going to buy an Xbox One, but figured I would wait less than a year for the next gen to come out so that I am on the same page as everyone else again and can enjoy more online games with more players. CoD BOPS2 is the only one on 360 with many players still, but I enjoy it for now.

PS5 can play PS4 games so you are set with God of War 3 and God of War. I am currently replaying God of War 3 on PS4 and it's amazing.
