If you had to make a choice between these two highly anticipated november releases which would it be, and why?

NOTE: This is not a comparison of which is a better game, rather a question of which you would rather have if required to choose and why.

Assassin's Creed, easily.

Single Player >>>>>>>> Online

Plus, AC2 actually seems to be making real improvements over its predecessor, while MW2 just looks like an expansion pack.

What a strange comparison of games from two different genres that share almost no similarities to justify a fair debate. Like whatever, am'rite? Assassin's Creed 2 appears to be highly improved compared to the first one which I enjoyed for awhile. Call of DutyMW2 is probably gonna be like COD4 which I for one, am not very fond of. Ever since InFamous, I re-found my passion for Singleplayer games so Assassin's Creed 2 wins me over with ease.

AC2. I'm not sure if I'm going to get it. I wasn't a fan of the first, but this one does show promise. But there's no way I'm getting MW2. I'm sick of FPS games (especially the COD series).

Hmmm that is kinda hard. I think I might actually have to go with AC2. The singleplayer looks amazing and looks to have alot of things to do.

I would pick Assassin's Creed II. I have no idea why, but Assassin's Creed's 'campaign' was just excellent and kept me busy for ages. After reading a report from somewhere claiming that MW2's campaign will only be roughly the same as MW, I'll just have to pick Assassin's Creed II.

Assassin's Creed II by leaps and bounds, and this is coming from a long time CoD4 veteran/addict. Modern Warfare 2 isn't going to play anything like CoD4, and on top of that, I'm getting Uncharted 2, which should do well to satisfy my online craving.

Not getting either game, but I'd go with Assassin's Creed II. I have the original, so getting the sequel would make more sense than MW2. I'm sick of the CoD series and I hope MW2 flops miserably.

AC2 by miles. MW2's multiplayer looks way too dumbed down in an effort to cater for noobs (shields? cmon guys), and i've always been more interested in the Battlefield series and KZ2 for multiplayer.

Assassin's Creed 2 looks incredible and they've addressed the issues with the original (repetitiveness to the extreme, not many mission types etc.) and added stuff we've never even thought about. plus the Black Edition of the game looks freaking epic.

AC2 black edition

Yes single player is better for someone who does not have PSN ID. Online is much better than single player. Plus UBISOFT have already said it will feature online play.

MW2. I never played COD4, and it'll be refreshing to get away from Killzone 2's space/futuristic feel for a different online FPS experience.

AC2 hasn't convinced me yet, so I'll be waiting for the reviews before I decide on getting it or not.

It disturbs me how many people actually loved Assassin's Creed, the sequel looks like the same exact game to me. I was never really a fan of games of the sort (Prince of Persia and the like) but Infamous gave me the feeling of what I believe Assassin's Creed attempted at (the free roaming, wall-climbing aspect) and the story is a little too Dan Brown for me, not that it's bad, it's just entirely too dated and I feel like it is a poorly written movie destined for like Nicholas Cage to play the main dude, why? I don't know, I just get an ominous clairovoyance with the movie industry sometimes... I can see dollar signs in the eyes of the people rehashing games like this and an Assassin's Creed movie is all but certain.

AC2.. CODMW2 will be more of the same, not a bad thing.. but if its more of the same, then that means a short single player experience. So AC2 gets my vote, they've taken the original game and added soooo much more too it.

No contest: AC2.

As a single player gamer, AC2 interests me far more than MW2.

Thankfully I don't have to make this choice because I'm definitely buying both games.

imo if you do not play online for some reason go with assassins only because the story will probably take you a good 15-30 hours to complete. However im going to have to go with mw2 because im hopping the campaign has as good of a story as 4 did and the online is sweet and spicey...

this is a really hard choice especially because the genres are soo different. They target two different types of players. MW2 targets the online players while AC2 targets solo play. I would get both in November but if I had to choose one I would choose MW2. The online could give me a lot more gametime for the money.

Um I actually REALLY REALLY hated Assassin's Creed, but AC2 seems a LOT better, they improved on it so much! Still, I'm skeptic about this one, so I'll just stikc with Modern Warfare 2(although the MP is so damn noob friendly now, its like they took CoD4 and they were like to the MP team:"Make it nooby. So noobs will luv it. It doesnt matter if noobs will spam with sheilds and run around the level throwing knives everywhere like f****** ninja monkeys, just make sure that all of our good and tactical players get screwed"). MW2 still looks great though, and I will wait for the prices to drop on AC2 before making that purchase.

Assassin's Creed II by a looooong shot. I've dispised Call of Duty ever since they made Call of Duty 2. And I thought Assassin's Creed II was a phenominal masterpiece.

I love stealth like games and between these 2, i will go with Assassins Creed 2. The improvements in the game look great, cutting out all the repetition of the first one and while I am not a huge fan of the story (I hated getting pulled out of a medieval setting just to walk around in a lab), i am looking forward to the gameplay as Ezio.

Both games should be great and both are different in concepts but if i had to choose one, its AC2 for me.

If i had to choose,

Assassins Creed 2 would do it for me.

I dont have enough hours in my day to constantly go online. So while i do take my games to the net, single layer has to be the priority for me. and sorry guys, but AC2 is going to kick the ass of any single player campaign this year IMO

If I had to choose, it would be Assassin's Creed II because of the campaign and the fact that I like action/adventure games more than shooters. It just depends on which appeals to you most, my friend. At any rate, I am getting both.
