I just might get that game when I have the cash.

I'm sorry, but there's just no way that this game is the best JRPG of this gen. However, It is arguably the closest substitute to kiddy porn in a video game format that we've had in a long time. :lol:RakuhoYeah, well, DON'T KNOCK IT TILL YOU TRY IT BRO.

If this is anything similar to Star Oceans then I wouldn't touch this game with a 10 foot pole, that game was pitifully boring and the story made me want to off myself. Please tell me this game isn't another "Made for 10 year olds!" style JRPG?!
finalstar2007
lol nope this isnt pokemon it is so not made for 10 years olds :P.. heck the boxart clearly says 17+ :P.. anyways i played SO4 and even though it is annoying indeed the battle system was amazing, this game is far not like SO4 but battle system a bit close to SO, very great game.
...
That is sarcasm...
Right..
RIGHT?
Oh yeah, I knew this, it explains that when you first unlock Flipspheres, lol. I hit for 148,000,000 something last night with Yurisica.
Excuse me, did my eyes just see 148 MILLION?!?!?!? WOW. I only posted that for those who didn't know and to help you with what's in the spoiler tag. But since you can do THAT MUCH (!?!?!?!) damage, I think I may have wasted half of that post....Oh yeah, I knew this, it explains that when you first unlock Flipspheres, lol. And I think Finnel is better than SakiShadow-EliteMy opinion stands regardless of what others like you may say about Saki/Finnel. My reason of liking her over Finnel has nothing to do with battle stats, I like her for her character/story/etc. only. But she still kicks ass in battle.

Like I said, I grinded way too much when I started out because the harmograph system is addictive somehow once you get used to it, lol. Now I'm just overpowered...
When you fight Mute for the first timeas you're escaping the Clustanian purification chambers, after Aoto and co. discover her true form, I purged three times with Yurisica as I was taking out the lackeys, and then used her attack on Mute and ended the battle. On the end battle spoils/exp screen, it said I beat it in 26 seconds.
I don't know if it's supposed to be that easy or not, but it feels like I'm cutting through everything like butter and I'm on normal. Does this game have NG+?

She's too nice for me. I mean, I like nice, but I've seen main character fall for incredibly stupid but nice girl way too much in anime... so I chose Finnel. But mainly because of Yurisica. HELLO NURSE.

Tbh, I don't like Finnel much (especially her character design) But her cosomosphere intrigues me. That big eye in her sphere, why Soma is killing anyone that gets close to her, why she ran from Clustiina, etc. She just seems to have better character story to me.

When did you get a victory screen during a boss battle? That never happened for me. Either Normal is too easy, or Gust didn't want to make it too hard. And yes, NG+ is there. The best thing about it is that you can restart from 3 predetermined points:
The beginning, Phase 2, and just before the DIY battle. That, right there, is very handy.
It carries over just about everything even though the game says otherwise. At least that's what happened to me since I restarted from the the 3rd point. I didn't get to redistribute the 3rd heart point (you do so at the cutscene before you're given one last chance to prepare), but I was set for Saki so it didn't matter.

Then... I'm probably just an idiot and mistook that victory screen for one from a regular battle, but I definitely beat Mute waaaay too fast. It feels like I haven't fought any boss battles at all, just Mute, and whenever I do fight her, I run through her like nothing.
I guess I'm happy for you guys for finding an RPG game y'all like. I was excited for this game when i read the first OPs impression but after I youtubed the game.....I suddenly remembered why I stopped watching anime and stopped playing japanese rpg's for the longest time. Thank god for Fairy Tail (the only anime i watch--its like family guy meets Naruto). I guess i just grew out of all these cliched storylines of little girls and little boys saving the world with cheesy lines and whatnot.
Yeah...Welcome to the Tour is my favorite song (aside from the hymns) and it's not on there... Anyway, here are some pics and videos I took and why I took them:
Life statement. Prinny reference? Breaking the 4th wall (the game's own genre). 2006 is a year? A girl says a...sorta bad word. LANGUAGE WARNING: http://s720.photobucket.com/albums/ww206/Tjoeb123/?action=view¤t=6db15831.jpg But I never knew a girl would slip out that bad of a word... LANGUAGE WARNING: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4n-LpXxW5EA Again, I didn't know that any of the girls would say bad words. But I like that... Now if only it were Saki, that'd be a whole 'nother story.
Yeah, the soundtrack CD's a piece of crap I could have made myself with Roxio and Photoshop.

Actually what we need is Namco localizing Tales games. Not just Graces F, either.tjoeb123Amen to that. No offense to anyone here, but the Tales games are head and shoulders better than all the mediocrity in the form of JRPGs that has been coming out lately on the PS3.

I looked at the cover for a sec and thought it looked interesting but then I saw the rated M sign and now I don't care. Heh, I was like "But it looks sooooo cute,".

So you cant handle the 17+ stuff? :P.. overall this is a great game im just glad to see more and more people are enjoying it
Nah I can handle most 17+ stuff. I can handle everything except blood and gore (I will start to get nauteous) which i doubt this game has. I justavoid it because I don't wantit to change me.
I never knew a girl would slip out that bad of a word... tjoeb123You should get to know girls better. I've hung out large groups of girls as a fly on the wall, and man... they are filthy! :P
Saki is lame. I chose to go with Finnel because of YURISICA. OH GOD YURISICA. I currently have two hearts with Finny. Also, you could use spoiler tags. And I just finished Phase II, I'm literally right at the beginning of Phase III and I'm incredibly overpowered due to way too much grinding (level 49), so I'm assuming I'm about to beat this game.Scianix-Black
lmao i know tho i went for Saki and beat it yesterday with the bad Ending :(.. playing it again for normal or happy ending :D

Even the Tales of Vesperia movie is being localized and coming this summer, finally Tales is leaving Japan :P
Alright guess time to state what i think since i played it over 30 hours and beat it just yesterday, absolutely amazing game, the diving system feels like a whole different story in the game with so many stages and multiple stories with each revitale, loved the battle system till the end and what i love most is how fighting monsters and stuff has a limit, you have a limit on the amount of monsters you fight then you cane asily move around the whole cave, jungle, etc without having to worry about fighting,
SPOILER:
With my choices i ended up getting the bad ending with i felt was both sad and quick, yes things become intense and songs began to get better and better thorugh the end but felt very quick for me i was hoping for something more, best thing of all is how at the end of the game we can view all the songs, movies and events that been unlocked during the game, game start being funny then gets serious and serious through the end
Overall my socre for this is 9.5/10

Ok, I'm done then. I didn't get this game for drama, I thought it would be this super happy-go-lucky adventure with an unrealistically happy ending. I'm just gonna play Vesperia.

Link or it's not happening.Did you see my earlier post on how to get all but the bad ending? It all revolves on whether you win the MYU battle (which you can restart from using the Clear Data, though you can't redistribute the last heart point) as well as heart points for her and/or how far you've gotten in her Cosmosphere. (SPOILER: particularly Level 8..DAMMIT, EMOTICIONS), in addition to that choice before the Ar Ru battle. If you wish I can outline the requirements once again.
Oh yeah, and there's a secret character. I say secret because not many people know about it, in fact I was surprised when this character joined my party. How to get her? I'm not telling.....but, hint hint: MYU.
