I bought my PS2 way back in early 2001 although I did replace it with the new slim model in 2004. Anyway the 1st game I put inside my brand new PS2 way back in 2001 was Tekken Tag Tournament. As soon as the game came up on screen I was in awe by it's beauty. The game was awseome and I was loving every moment with my brand new console. The 1st time I played my PS2 I clocked in atleast 7 hours of play :D what about you ?
Sounds kinda like me, cause i got my first PS2 in october '01, but the first game I put into it was Red Faction. I am still spoiled about the amount of ground deformation in that game...
I bought mine the first week it came out in like 2000 something, and the first game i got for it was Winback and i was amazed at the game and now when i look back at it, it was a horrible game. lol :lol:
I got mine in 2001 and the first game I played was Ratchet & Clank 1. I didn't have a memory card and that was the only game I bought so I played the first two levels about 200 times!
May 2007, Onimusha Warlords and Tomb Raider Legend were picked up at the same time as the console. I had NO IDEA about PS2's, I just looked at the wall of XBOX games and the wall of PS2 games and said, guess I want a PS2 because the games are obviously way cooler.
It was completely an impulse purchase. Or maybe I should say "is" an impulse purchase, judging by how many games have come to live at my place since...
I bought my ps2 on 2006 summer! and the first game i played was pirats of the Caribbean: the legend of jack sparrow and then one year later i sold it to get a ds lite!
i bought my PS2 on August 2007; im late to the party, i know. A PS3 or a Wii is more than 900U$S in here, not to mention the games... however i can live for many many years without updating my console because there are a Huge amount of excelent games for PS2
I got my PS2 on Christmas when I was in 3rd grade (2002) and the first game I ever got and played was Jak and Daxter (on that same very Christmas). Good God, a fantastic game...a perfect 10 in my opinion, and I will never forget it. I hope you all had a great experience with your first game as I did with mine. Have a good one everybody. :)
