If so, I don't think it's a rare game at all. I got it at Gamestop for $3.99 used. And everytime I go to a Gamestop/EB they usually still have that title.Â
One of the best RPGs on the system -- Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne -- has become one of the rarest, too. It's really hard to find a new copy of it at anything like a reasonable price now. Unreal Tournament is still very easy to find new and reasonably priced if you shop online in North America, but not so for others like Marvel vs Capcom 2, which has gotten ridiculous. I was surprised to find that getting a new copy of Culdcept has become as tough as it has, too.
Do you mean it's hard to find them in a retail store? Because I found Disgaea: Hour of Darkness on Amazon for 30 dollars. I just ordered it a few days ago.

God Hand!!! I have been looking for a fresh new copy and I can't find any. I know Clover is shut down but I did see a handful of copies of Okami (excellent game BTW).

It seems that the Shin Megami Tensei series is generally pretty rare. I'm having a hard time finding a decent copy of Digital devil saga.. (EB games had a used copy with no case and plenty for scratches for $42. craaaazzzyy)

Just about all Atlus games become rare at some point in time. Even Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (although it's not a PS2 game) which got a re-print late last year yet became rare again.
The Collectors Edition of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence is also very rare, even just for the Saga and Theater discs.
Another game, that is also made by Metal Gear's director, that was overlooked, but now insanely rare, is Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. If you can find this with box and book for under $100, consider yourself lucky, and if you want to eBay it, rich.
Gitaroo-Man is up there in price. That also got a small re-print but quickly went back up as soon as it died down. The disc alone can range from $50 to $80 at some places.
Futurama should also be placed in a rare games category. That got rare all of a sudden despite it being in a few bargain bins last year.
The Guy Game is also quite rare due to it being taken off the shelves. Really, though, it should only be a collectors item. Anyone who pays more then $10 for this to play it needs to be bonked in the head.

ya, i've been trying to find it for probably over a year now lol I bought Marvel vs. Capcom 2 a while ago, but my cousin's friend stole it. He said he'd get it back but never did. He's had a couple of my other games stolen. He really pisses me off.

 I had Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. I was a decent game that was very weird. My father threw that out along with my all my other Playstation games and DVD collection. My family really treats me like crap. Reason I don't talk to them much anymore.
Rez is suppossedly really rare. Pretty much EVERY PS1 game is impossible to find at stores now. Fatal Frame 1 is rare. I managed to get myself a copy anyways!

Well, I don't trust (or buy from) EBGames anymore since they tried to pass off a couple of used games as new ones on me. But, if you have any way of being sure that's really a new, factory sealed copy, that's a no-brainer -- buy it! If you're not into RPGs (no matter how great they are, and this one is), you could likely sell it to a fellow gamer, making a bit of profit for yourself and still making that person happy to get it at the same time. Haven't checked it in a while, but the last truly new copies I saw of Nocturne were going for well over $120. Seems like a lot of money, but I know I wouldn't part with my copy of it for anywhere near that.

Well dang, I didn't know that! I missed it then, I'd kind of hoped to get a copy of it to try out after I first heard about Persona 3. But sure enough, new ones have been really rare whenever I tried. I love when they do re-prints of these games, Disgaea sure deserved it, but I'm bummed that I missed a good chance to check P2 out. *kicks self*

Shadow Hearts 2, Final Fantasy X (the version that was made by Square Soft before it turned in to Square Enix), Unreal for PS2, and that's all maybe Half Life for PS2.

 I got Operation Winback, man that game is seeek! I remmember playing it on N64. Then it came out on ps2 so i had to get it. played it 4 playaa style with my friends. Hiding around corners and shooting eachother. like the first MGS multiplayer game sorta, lol. well thats what we called it. But yeah, Rare games = REZ and Amplitude is on my list.
