Petition: Sega to increase the number of releases for the PC

Link to the petition. We already have over 11200 votes, but we need way more to make it work.

-Why sega?

Because Sega has been focusing more and more the PC, bringing several games, new and old, to the PC. 2 of their biggest franchises(Football Manager and the Total War series) are mainly PC games.

-Why these games?

Vanquish and Bayonetta were chosen due to being games developed by Platinum Games.This developer made Metal Gear Rising and managed to make a solid port to the PC this last january. This version was easily one of the best game ports made by a japanese company in the last years and shows that their game engine can work pretty well on PC. It also should be a better bet to ask, since both of these games sold more than MGR, so it wouldn't be much of a stretch for ports of these games.

Virtua Fighter 5 already runs on Windows/Linux on their arcade machines. The PC port shouldn't be all that harder.

I would love to see Vanquish on PC!

I'd never sign a patition for more games out of brands like Sega, Capcom, Blizzard-Activision.

Those companies moto is: "make it as quick as possible"

Except that those games are already done. We are not asking for NEW games, we are asking for ports of games that are already shown to be pretty good. Hell, Platinum stated that after the PS3 port of Bayonetta, theyd ecied to always stp up in case of ports so they don't turn out as shitty as that one.

If ports will be released as good as MGR I'd sign it.

I can't vouch for VF5, but If they get Platinum to make the ports, there's no reason for them not to be as good as the MGR port.

Blizzard? Quick? Blizzard has a lot of problems, but it's definitely not putting out games rapidly.

Also, do these online petitions ever go anywhere? I don't see how companies take signatures such as "mor3peen4u" seriously.

Dark Souls petition went somewhere.

And "The division" petition also worked and it was on the same site.

Dark Souls was one of the worst ports ever though.

It wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst either. Managed to play it to completion and enjoyed the DLC with no major hiccups. AND From Software realized it was a shitty , rushed port that they made Dark Souls 2 main platform PC, so they don't need to port anything FROM consoles to PC.

If anything, it just game more attention to PC gamers and we'll (hopefully) get a much better experience, maybe even better than the console experience.

@horgen123: Darksouls 2 is being built with pc as the lead platform.

Aside from porting console games, it would be nice to see Sega continue to make and publish traditional PC games. Football manager and Total War have already been mentioned, and they also revenue streams from all the Warhammer and Company of Heroes games.

I see you didn't play Metal Gear Rising for PC. A game ported by the company that made 2 of games we are asking to be ported.

I wish College students knew how to port games with that quality, way cheaper porting and I wouldn't need to be suppporting petitions around teh web.

And VF is a fine game, it's a matter of opinion.

If not then I will be angry. After going up to 60 fps. 30 is choppy for me.

With DSfix, the PC version manages to hold 30 fps steadily, but I know what you mean. With 60 fps, there's a bigger window of framing to plunge, instead of just dropping to slideshows.

I heard that DS2 on PC is put back two months or so. Anyone know more?

I don't think it will take 2 months to release the PC version. I think it's just Namco holding out the actual date to boost the console version sales. So all the impatient people pre-order it for their last gen platforms.

I doubt many people would buy it on the 360 or on the PS3 if it was guaranteed that the best version(according to the developers) woould be release 1 week or so after.

Nah... One or two exceptions do not disprove the rule. Plus, it's impossible to tell whether they did it because of a petition or they just did it on their own and it was just a coincidence. Without proof, I'd guess it was the latter.

a rep from NAMCO BANDAI posted a comment on their message board implying that a PC port was indeed possible. After abit more pushing he asked PC gamers to show proof that there was a market for the game on the PC. It was a combination of the petition,youtube,facebook,etc that helped make the PC port happen.

I thought Square Enix were the ones responsible of making good pc ports.

Yeah, SE has been porting several of their older games and most of them are pretty good ports. Hell, there are talks about releasing FF XV also on PC.

I say, the more the merrier. Even if the ports don't come out all that great, we are at a point in tech savvy that modders and fans can make their own fixes to the games if required.
